Catalunya Red- the forbidden colour?

I'm curious to why people don't seem to be choosing the Catalunya Red? Who's seen it in the flesh and where? If you can, please post any pics/videos of Catalunya Red RS3's?

I'm thinking of changing to this colour.

Opinions welcome and each valued!

I don't like red cars, but, the A3 8V in general seems to suit it.
I saw a catalunya one at Goodwood and it was very nice. It seems to work with no packs, black or alu.

I think a lot of people are put off as it's so hard to get a pic that shows what it truly looks like (camera's are notorious for making red look a different shade to real life).

I had Misano red on my previous RS3 - it was the signature colour then. I just fancied a change this time but I do like it.

No worries here as Boozyjay said red is always the signature colour of the RS 3 in all the literature

Looks like a change of spec is approaching
 
Having a MK1 in Misano if I was changing to a MK2 I think red would be the colour I'd go for.
Having alloy pack on my one which I like, I think the red on the MK2 is about the only colour which suits the alloy trim.
Everyone's opinion will vary but red is best

Red is a color I wouldn't want on my own car. But it is a nice color to
look at and suits a car nice.

I've currently got a Sepang S3, had an Ibis White A5, a Daytona RS4, a Daytona A3 so I fancied Catalunya Red for a change for my RS3. Ordered it with the black pack.

Hopefully it'll look something like this:

Already on... Just amending the colour and adding the Design pack bw has already slipped to 16th November though before these changes happen

I've just ordered the same with the black gloss finish and black alloys, looks awesome in my opinion!
 
The red with the titanium wheels looks ace, like on the front of the brochure.

If/when I order mine it will have to be Nardo/black pack though. Killer combo.

Looks like catalunya red, along with all other reds, are a pig to photograph!

Red with gloss black styling back is gorgeous. Not sure about the gloss black wheels though, they look a bit tacky. I think the matt titanium wheels look classier.
 
Ive always liked red cars. Especially when using good waxes that gets the best out of the colour. Although when my rs3 arrives I'm going to look into this crystal serum malarkey.
I originally chose nardo, but now changed to cataluyna... This thread is bang on point though, nobody seems to be choosing it....
I think the red also works well with the alu pack and black pack.
Can't wait for a meet early next year where we can compare all variants, and of course everyone has there preferences
 
I wanted red but my next door neighbour was going to order a red rs3.

Has now ordered a red misano s3 sport back and me turning up in a red rs3 would be harsh.
So went sepang as have always loved it since the c6 rs6

Red and black exterior, fantastic choice :yes:

I almost went red/black with my S3, ended up with Sepang/Chrome instead but if I'm honest wish I'd gone Red or Ibis. I do like Sepang, and it looks lovely in certain lights, but every man and his dog with an S or RS car up here in Aberdeen has Sepang.

I think I'm finally getting to the stage where I might, just might, stop making mistakes when I'm changing cars (or at least reduce the things I end up not liking) so for me, I will not now consider owning a blue car (unless it's Gulf Blue) or one with a 4 pot engine (unless it's a boxer).
