Anybody bought this honeycomb grille for their 8p?

WOW it's expensive for a non-genuine part, I'll say that much
 
Yeah I fitted it on mine last week bud, cheapest I could find, real impressed with it, only think I would say was the rings holder would look better with the holes cut out if that makes, also does not come with any actual rings just bear that in mind

Have you got any pics of the grille fitted mate? Didnt wanna spend all that coin on a non genuine part if its an awful fit etc.
 
I've got the 8p2 version that I fitted last week, same as above, good fit and looks good, the badge and number plate holder look a bit cheap though. Think I'm gonna cut the centres out of the badge holder on mine

i fitted a quattro badge too where the s-line should be but had to make a washer bracket

yeah i was a bit dubious too but looks the part, with my new cupra splitter, could do with more screws though with the grill

Your too kind ;) nice.....I bet that cupra splitter looks awesome too! Mine is a quattro so I could re use the badge, will probs leave it plain though.
 
Is my quattro the 8p2 or 8p3? I thought it was a 2 facelift?
Just a quick question guys.... I am looking at buying a set of ap coilovers, would I need shortened drop links if I was to buy them? Thanks

Can't vouch for the eBay one but can highly recommend the fit and quality of the xenonz ones

yeah yours is a 8P3 bud, must be the latter half of '08,

mine is a 8P2 s-line which there are not many grill options about

been mentioned on here a few times but think the names 8P1,2,3 are only names that us forum guys have given and not a official audi number so just take care when ordering as a ebay seller will prob not now what you mean, 08 is a difficult one as the shape changed in the latter half so again take care
 
Right, these are quick pics, I'm planning on sitting my splitter back slightly further and I'm getting a front respray as there are plenty of chips, what you thinking guys?

That is very smart mate, i like it!! i think i will be removing the centres of the audi rings though? It doesnt look as good being a solid pattern does it. The splitter sets it off well. :grinning:

Yeah it's on my to do list, the ring holder fits really well into the honeycomb, if it didn't I'd just get another holder but think might have to mod that one.
 
On the cupra splitter is it a straight bolt on or does the front bumper and splitter need some modding??
 
The splitter is quite a bit of work to be honest, I would say took me just over a hour of modding, the stalks and clips all have to be cut down to decrease the height or it would stand too proud, I cut multiple "V's" out of it too so I could bend it to better fit the curve, do t think it came out too bad though, got mine off eBay for about £55 but someone on here said they are much cheaper direct from a seat dealer, found this out after lol, worth a ask
 
Remember pre facelift a3 grill is different to s3 pre facelift if that's your s3 in you avatar
 
Ahhh I just assumed it was for an s3 sadly I can't read German
