Hi all i had a dv chatter the car was jerking when on throttle or going off throttle . Bought a second hand dv and its still doing the same i have checked the dv and holds pressure even the one i had on before seems to hold pressure well too. Any help with this please??

chatter on lift off? should be none going onto throttle
chirpy kinda noise?

vaccum pipe to dv ok, no splits, has actual vacuum on the end when engine idling?

Chatter when i release throttle but the car its self was jumpy for eg when i apply soft throttle it wasnt smooth it was harsh or jumpy like . So i changed dv and the chatter still there and just checked short term fuel trim and reading -21 to -29 as before it used to stay withing +5 to -5

Check pipes under the engine cover and the vac reservoir, does sound like a vac leak.

changed dv for a working one?
measured that vacuum at the DV? Thats where the vac is required to open it

Yes there is vacum from the line come from the intake manifold. I do have a t piece running from that line going to boost gauge tho maybe because of that i have low pressure going in to the dv. And spoke to my freind today and he said it could be the n75 valve

N75 valve??? I think your mate should step away from the internet dude...

N75 controls boost to the turbo and is buggerall to do with the DV...

Try running a vac hose direct to the DV...

<tuffty/>

Lol. And directly mean remove t pieace an go from manifold nipple straight to dv??

Aaah ok i will run a single vac line from dv to inlet manifold nipple . And aslo with this jerking when on and off throttle makes a knocking noise in the gearbox as when in 1st gear at 10mph if i tap on throttle lighthly the car jumps and knocks . Hard to explain lol . All this wasnt there before chatter its like not smooth progressive if you understand ....

How would i know if they bust anyway of find out??

the engine will move a lot when loaded...
load it up with handbrake on and watch it leap about..
lots of movement = shagged mounts = things hitting things, downpipes cracking etc etc

What you think guys is the faulty or not

DV looks fine. I believe thats the way its supposed to behave, if it was snapping shut whilst your finger was on the top then there would be a problem. I believe you mentioned earlier that you tried another DV and had the same issue, so I don't think your DV is faulty.

Yes i tried another dv and same results so i wonder what is causing the dv chatter and and rough accelration on and off throttle as in not smooth progressive it just knocks you back and forward on/off throttle

revert to n249 setup then. it will be smoother.
if its not opening fully you dont have sufficient vacuum, so check the pipe has good vacuum to the dv

N249 is allready bypassed ans will check for leaks

Just removed n75 connecter and maf connect its still the jerkness and car boost around 0.6 bar with n75 unplugged

Tried a freinds dv and same still chatters when changing gears but not in neutral when i rev the car so am out of ideas what it could be checked all hoses and no leaks either
