What have you done to your 8V today?

Sorry dude you've ruined it, those seats are abit max power these days!
Should have got some nice recaros!

Every single audi or vw in the scene has rs4 recaros or recaro cs'
Wanted something different that stands out and divides opinions, cobras with exposed hardware and carbon backs ticks all the boxes

I admire the work you've put in and hats off for doing your own thing. It's the kind of thing that could grow on me. I've seen this floating around Instagram a lot. If I were to do a similar thing to my car this would be it:

I agree it's lovely, but it's too much the same as every other modified vag car for me.

Are they just recaro sportsters or are they rs4 seats?

I drove it, first time in two weeks.

I really must get out more....

I hate the DPF, just simply hate it.
So I can say today I raged at my car because of that system

Well today I beat my MPG record,

Then on the re fill took the range to 400 miles!

Pretty run in now and amazing that you can get that on the commute and then go for a blast at other times, very impressed.

Would be nice if it had a 7 speed box with the 7th for economy

Car was filthy with black splash marks etc. Got it out of the garage with the sole intention of just making it clean again. Didn't have a lot of time, but less than an hour's work it's looking lovely again. Amazing what a jet wash, a few buckets of water, wash mitts and micro fibre cloths can do! Only took the picture on my phone, so not great but another clean S3 on the road!!

Drove to the station and then spent 10 minutes finding a parking space I was happy to park in as my usual wide spots had already been taken, which doesn't happen very often :(

Not really related to my car but I followed an aerial atom for a while today. What a car! The noise and the speed of it!! Don't know if I'd want to take one around the roads though. He was bouncing all over the place but did look cool in his stig style helmet!

Break in the weather so gave missus's Beetle and my S3 a wash and quick detail.

Got up early for a snow foam wash, mitt wash, de iron, clay, then gtechniq panel wipe , and 2 coats of gtechniq Exo v2.
However the weather didn't want me to do that so ended up washing it, then before I could dry it the heat dried for me with what looked like soapy marks. Washed again same thing happened. Then third time I went over with the mitt with just water, no soap and rinsed off. Then I dried it and came up properly. Was not happy.
Then it just started to spit when I finished drying it which had been happening off and on through washing so gave up. Yea the weather beat me.
I'm in the process of looking for a gazebo/car port 6m x 3m to do this in (and work on the mk1 golf) as it has to cure for 3 hours after I put the Exo on.

Then just been out to the shops, washed my windscreen and the effing headlight washers sprayed my whole bonnet. Not a happy chappie today.

feel your pain. I phoned Gtechniq after I had put my EoV2 and asked them is 3 hours ok as the rain was lashing down and I had the option of leaving it in the dry overnight. They recommended using the option of keeping it dry overnight. As they say "just saying" Phil

Spent two hours putting Gtechniq - Glass Sealant Kit G1-KIT-G15
Fingers crossed I do not get the dreaded wiper judder!!

That really depends. I've put it on 4 vehicles now. And had different results. Detailed did my S3 and it juddered the most for the longest.

Though against correct conditions I did the van (20 degree direct sunlight) and it worked the same but juddered the least! Go figure. Brilliant stuff tho. Wouldn't use anything else! In fact I've just topped the van up with another coat after doing my bros A1. I Should buy shares or something.

Took mines out for a good run today to try and get it over the 1000 miles mark seen as its 2 months old lol. However what is it with Golf GTi and Civic Type R drivers trying to get a race from me. Leave me alone I'm happy plodding along at 60 you boy racers lol. The Golf GTi kept speeding close up behind me then slowing down then when he got a chance he flies past then slows down Grrrr

Half res ??

Yeah, the resonated version is only a couple of db louder than standard to meet EU regs for sale on continental Europe, so they now do a system that sits in between the resonated and the non resonated. It's not advertised yet, but it's been available for a couple of months.

Watched the rain run off the body work as I drove to the station this morning. Pleased with the coatings if they keep up that level of performance.

Coating performed really well. Fun not using the wipers. A little bit of judder when hardly any water but that is reducing now. Very pleased
