What did you and your 8p do today? :)

Hmmm is it set up right? Which clutch/fly wheel you get?
it was fitted by a very reputable vag specialist so I am assuming it was done correctly, its not too bad I can get used to it. Its just the chatter is aweful when u let the revs drop down in gear. But I'm sure it will go away after bedding in. Its a loba saches combo. Which did u fit?

Hmmmm who told you that? That's wrong I think? On the leaflet from loba, there's nothing that mentions that at all??

uh oh does that mean I have to pay all that labour to get it fitted lol

Had a single mass flywheel and turned my s3 into a cement mixer as @S3Alex says. Mrs is ****** off and is asking why I paid to have my car sound broken.

I know what you mean, but mine is getting to the point where it's just about right.

When my wife starts to positively dislike or become scared of a car,it's reached that point.

She loathed my Cosworths.

She's tells me how Audi's are meant to be comfortable and I keep on paying to have it worse off. She says she feels like she's dreads long journeys in it because engine drone and the stiff stock suspension, although I think my shocks have past their sell by date I told her when I get new shocks it will be aftermarket ones which will make the ride worse and now she wants to move country :s

Got 4 wheel alignment done, to leave the car correct again after fitting the ARBs and WALK. All in the green again now :D

Omg I wannit how do I geddit!

Unfortunately you need a Syvecs ECU to go with this thing, but it IS very useful.

Can switch engine maps,ALS,TC and a pile of other bits on the fly,as well as monitoring anything that goes through the CAN-BUS.
Includes inlet temps, water temp, boost,LP fuel rail pressure(important for me with the extra injectors running off that)and a pile of other data.

Wow sounds like so much fun. Don't you have any videos of your car in action maybe with a ALS Launch :D

Only got the dyno video so far.

Not a great one or even a long one but a nice noise.

ALS is all very well but places a lot of load on both the turbo shaft, and in terms of EGT's which will go right up.
The other thing that puts me off is having 540lbs of torque to deal with, and gearbox life.

Holy **** that's enough torque to make the world turn just that little bit slower

Thx.....I was pleasantly surprised.

Giving the car a present of a new turbo and brain made all the difference.
Today's present is a trip to the petrol station.

Today wsa a stressful day but ended very well.
Took the S3 to have the haldex fault fixed. Ordered a new haldex control pump and had it sent to the garage.
Got a phonecall saying that my old pump was functioning with 12V running through it. It still could be faulty but it could also be the Haldex controller.
PANIC! Looked up controller. Big money.
Luckly replacing the haldex pump did clear the error code and fixed the problem.
Have just spent the journey back from the garage trying to get the front wheels to spin and I couldn't. Tried everything! The car also feels a lot smoother. I noticed that when I was deccelarating and going down the gears it was a bit jerky before. Seems a lot smoother now. Weird
Got home, got out of the car and did a dance! Wooohoooooo! Must have dropped three grand on it in a week though!!

Became invisible :detective2:

On the way to work this morning 3, yes 3 different people thought I wasn't there and pulled out, drove in front of me, or just point blank refused to acknowledge that my 1 tonne + motor was even in existence at that moment in time...

Oh joy! Good job the brakes work well :)

MOT passed with no advisories. Happy days.

I fixed an annoyance that's been bugging me since the beginning of winter...

The telltale light for the sidelights had faded to nothing over the course of a couple of weeks, so today I took the light switch apart and gave the contacts a clean - it seemed to do the trick.

I took a really ****** bury hands free kit which slightly warped the side of my head unit with the cable pressing against it :(

Oh yes.

At first I thought it was a wire shorting out! but wiggling wires and the connector had no effect, so striping it was the last option before replacing and I'm chuffed it's sorted.

Hi mate, on that leaflet it's for the 02m gearboxes and ours are part of the 02q family.

Please shed some light on this if you know any more.

Drove to work to park outside haha. Gave it a hoover and a clean last night tho. Golf is a terrible sort with the grass haha
