I have an A6 Avant 2.0 TDI 2008 with 77k on the clock. I picked it up at the end of Jan with 71K and have to admit it is very poorly.
It appears that a piece of the EGR valvecooler flap has come away and has ended up in cylinder 2 damaging the piston and the rings as well as 2 valves. it has also led to the DPF being completely blocked.
Total bill £5400 at Audi.
After some discussion with the dealer the bill has been reduced to £2300+VAT as a gesture of goodwill on the condition I book and pay for the next service of £275 in advance.
Does anyone think that this £3k discount is an admission of a faulty part and should I push for more in terms of money off the bill?
Thanks in advance.
