So guys I plan to use scratch x or swirl x as my car is full of little surface scratches and swirls but need to know a step by step guide as what to use in what order. I'm clueless.

So wash the car first obviously
Then is it best to use a clay bar before going with the swirl x stuff?
Then wax or polish???

Any recommended brands?
Looking to spend maybe 30 quid or is that too little

Cheers for any advise

you don't dry before claying.... what's the point in that when you need to wet the car again to use the clay???

I wouldn't bother with scratch x either OP...

To get an nice easy shine on your car, nip into Hellfrauds and pick up AutoGlym SPR (which has fillers to hide the swirls, and won't remove your clear coat) and top with EGP.

both can be used quickly and safely by hand.

So wash the car, leave it wet
clay using the clay lube (lots of lube, and go easy on the pressure using clay)
I normally wash the car again, then dry.
SRP and remove with a nice microfiber cloth
EGP and remove with a different microfiber cloth.

Job done... nice and simple, as well as fast and safe... stand back, beer in hand and admire your work.

So I bought this stuff today. Will the above method still apply?

yeah, SRP is your stage 2 bottle..although I'm not sure if it's more polish than filler, so you may be cutting into your clear coat... not too much of a worry by hand on usually hard Audi clear, but best you are aware of that, as when the clear is gone, it's a repaint.....

and EGP is your stage 3 one...

it haven't used the products in your picture, so just going by what I can see...

do you have some foam applicators to put the products on with, as well as some MF towels to remove it all??

Echo what @the_cueball says. Have some fun with the detailing and try not to worry about the BS others spout. Try stuff, try other things, learn. Try not to spend all the kids shoe money on detailing stuff, it can be addictive. :D
