is this what you need to go low on an s3?

They will sort the negative camber of the wheels if you go lower

will they stop the roll bar hitting the driveshaft? forge tie bars as you know are extremely and theres another brand on ebay at 180 quid, these are 85!? are these the same part or a different part that will achieve a similar result? is +-2 deg enough to drop an s3 40-50mm?

The roll bars will not hit the drive shafts on an S3, no matter how low you go! It's on A3s that you need to worry that about...

cheers jojo, so i can throw the coilovers on and drop her down!? sooo all this time i was holding back cause i thought i needed adjustable tie bars lol!
the interest in the mk1 has spurred me on now to make the s3 more to my liking!-)

Not sure I would rely on some unknown product from Poland, I doubt they have the same quality control as ours in the UK, if they have any at all.

no one seems to be answering whether these are the same part that s3dave used to make?

so there will be no problems technically dropping an s3 on coilovers alone, sorry jojo i cant quite get my head round that?? i must have read something about a3's ages ago then!?

There are a few reports of some of s3dave's parts snapping, I wouldn't have thaught ones made in Poland would be any better, don't think I would risk it.

Prawn uses Silver Project op mounts on his Trackcar, which no doubt see a lot more extreme operating environments than any roadcar will ever see, and as far as I know has had no issues.

Different part I know but just because something is made in UK doesn't mean it's any good, I'm looking at you Rover, anybody anywhere can make a **** product.

This I true, but the parts in UK have reach a standard to which is safe for sale, or the seller is liable for prosecution if someone is injured, I doubt you could sue someone from Eastern Europe if this happened.

is this a different part to tie rods? thinking of fitting my coilovers ive had in my garage for a year!-)
The part in the link is for adjusting rear camber when you lower 8L quattro platform cars. You don't actually need to correct the camber, it really depends on if you care about handling and tyre wear? If it's just a weekender car, then it's not so much of an issue on tyre wear. For daily drivers, it's a must do mod if you lower it in my opinion.

Google cookbot and have a look if their adjustable arms are suitable for you? They look strong and well made.

Coil overs might need specific drop links up front depending on where they fitted the bracket on the strut.. std drop links can drop the arb low enough to knock on the suspension arm on the S3...
