No proper DSG software is available yet and not sure how much it can handle tbh.

Hello strangers!!
Ok so i've been wondering if there is finally a remap from Revo yet for the 8V S3, i have just looked at their website and apparently there is!
Ive not logged on for a long time so this might be old news, i don't currently have time to read through the thread, can someone quickly clarify this? Has anyone bought one yet? If so then im getting it tuned this week!
Cheers!
Yea, Revo have a remap out now. Think there is 25% off just now as well
Highly recommended! My S3 now feels like how I thought it should be.
Right!I had a mapped B8 S4, and my S3 is easily quicker. No nose diving under breaking which is a bonus.
The only thing I want to play with now is the haldex... I really loved full time four wheel drive - the sure footed feeling in the wet and on fast bends was superior in my other Audis, and I think with some tweaking, the S3 could be better than it is currently.
I had a mapped S4 B8 too and it was rapid! Is the Standard S3 quicker or is your S3 mapped also?I had a mapped B8 S4, and my S3 is easily quicker. No nose diving under breaking which is a bonus.

Yes, my S3 is now mapped.
I reckon my mapped S4 was about the same as the S3 when it was standard (S3 is a lot lighter)
I got the SPS Switch so can flick them if I need to (back to standard for servicing)
If you are concerned about warranty (TD1 flag) etc then using the SPS to switch "back to standard for servicing" would likely still trigger a TD1. Revo flashes the ECU with one flash file, which contains multiple maps. The SPS just switches between these maps held on the ECU. The Revo standard map is not a vanilla OEM one just their interpretation held amongst the Stage 1 tune and security lock out feature etc . The checksum code for the Revo flash file will be completely different to that of the factory flash file. The only way to avoid a potential TD1 flag is to have the ECU completely wiped and an OEM map file used prior to servicing.
yet they can still check how many times ECU was reflashed
Or just install a MTM Cantronic box ! ;-)I always love these threads that go back and forth about ECU flashing and warranty.
There's a very simple solution: if you are not willing to take the risk of something happening to your car and losing your warranty, don't tune. These "will it trigger a TD1" and "will they know if I've flashed it" comments prove that you are not willing to take that chance.
Done.
Makes perfect sense, thank youIt all depends, doesn't it, on which component/system you are trying to get warranty on.
If you went ahead and had a full Milltek, and your turbo went bang, Audi would be well within their right to refuse to cover the replacement turbo on account that changing the exhaust influenced the gas flow characteristics through the turbo.
On the other hand they couldn't refuse to warrant a faulty headlamp.

What were the difference then? I've never seen them from real users anything other that as good as the same. Also don't forget to look at the before/after on the same day, same dyno figure and then only compare the relative increases. Top line figures really don't mean anything unless you know where it started from.
Cheers,
