Hi guys, I changed all four tyres to Michelin pilot sport 3. A few weeks later the rear left corner would start losing pressure. I would regularly pump it up and got it re sealed at STS. A year passed by and I took the plunge and went for the same tyre make on the wheel. It lasted 6 months but started going down again!

I am aware that the tyre could not be sealed to the alloy correctly. I have spoken with a few spealists who have said powder coating the one wheel for £75 it will most likely be fixed. I dont want to do this incase the faces look different. Any know of any different tips?

Thanks.

if its not sealing to the wheel correct any decent tyre fitter can fix it

ten minute job why the **** would you need it powder coating ?

id say the people you have spoke to are special.

Any tyre shop will fix it useing bead sealant for less the £10

Bead sealant is like a black rubber paint and it works well. Also check the valve is not leaking. I had to put a new insert into our TT this week as it was losing about 6 psi per week. Wet your finger and hold it over the valve. Any leaks will be apparent as a fizz or bubbling.
