hi... i'm a newbie and as as you may notice this is my first post. Hopefully i will be in position to add more value in the future for someone else's issues rather than my own ones but here it is :)...

i did quick scan on my car over the weekend and it returned an error related to battery regulator. i do not use car very often (Weekends mainly) and do notice that after couple days of non starting it is struggling to 'turn on'. I checked the battery at several places and they advised that it is fine... however when plugged to VCDS it reports an error. So... Has anyone got any hints on how to 'interpret' this error for better terms so as to determine what is wrong with the car that relevant part can be ordered/rectified? i also did some detailed assessment of the battery and have attached those too.

Any assistance is welcomed...

You usually get (Quiescent Current Stage) when the battery is running low, could you give us a little more information about the car, age, mileage, MMI system and software and the coding on the battery Regulator. Also if that battery has been changed in the last few years.

Thx for prompt response... I bought the vehicle 7-8months ago and the mileage is on the high side - 156k bit with comprehensive Audi history (checked and validated with Audi UK). It is a 2008/57 plate... Q: how do I find out coding on the batt. Regulator?

Ps. Will drop you MMI info tomorrow morning.

where would I find this information?

"MMI system and software and the coding on the battery Regulator"

hi guys,

I did re-run the scan on VCDS (following a batt. replacement) and I get the same set of errors as I mentioned in my original post... needless to say that my vehicle didn't want to start on disembarking the ferry in Calais :) (and with new battery). Considering I had driven it for 3h+ prior to it I think that battery is not an issue.

Now I bet that either a some regulator/relay needs replacement so if anyone can shed some lights that would be great? or even better if anyone know how to relate above mentioned error and translate to a required part even better :)?

cheers

stock Audi 110Ah batt. (made by Varta)... it was a simple swap out, old one out -> new one - in.

I also noticed that everything worked right away and no issues with electrics and no coding of radio/MMI required. Is that 'typical experience'?
