Oil Issuse Help Needed Please

Currently own a audi sport 2.0 alt
Had few problems when i bought car water pump + Headgasket gone all fixed
Car seems to be useing at least 5 ltrs oil a month not smoking and a groul when first started cold for about 10 seconds but runs great

Any advice would be appreciated

What sort of miles are you doing per month? I understand Audi say that 1 ltr / 600 mile (1000 kms) is acceptable consumption - mine is doing something in the order of 1 ltr / 1000 miles but it does have 126,000 miles on it. (2.0 FSI).

Alt has coated bores that at high milage allows them to consume oil like a 2 stroke.

Im getting no where near 500
Mines on 134.000
Monthly miles about 800 thats just guess

It's using 5 litres (not .5 ?) every 800 miles ? If it's 5 litres then all isn't well, clearly - others more expert than I will no doubt advise on the problem but I don't think I've ever had a vehicle which used that much oil, not even the 2-stroke bike we had for my ex-wife back in the days of biking!
