Is everything needed to fit the baisic kit included.
Reason I ask is my car is in currently getting it fitted and the mechanic is saying that it is missing parts. Mainly he is saying there is no where for the kit to read positive pressure and that he is going to have to buy extra bits to get it to work.
Now I think he is talking out his *** and possibly doesn't have a clue as it is taking him over a week to fit my new B5 exhaust mani and this kit.
So how does the kit read boost. From where is it tapped and how is it all connected.
Thanks
Dave.

depends what kit you bought as to what you receive

if basic kit 6-30psi one there would be a pressure switch and relay supplied, pump, nozzle...
pressure switch has a flow thru cap type thing which would be plumbed to your boost source

Should be a pressure switch in there... just need to tap that into a boost feed off the inlet manifold... don't forget to set the switching pressure...

Turns out he has lost the brass barb that connects onto the pressure switch. All this sh*t over one little piece.

Jeebus the fun never ends. Having another problem with the kit. The person who installed it fitted a 10amp fuse on the live going to the pump. As the pump has a 10amp load this would seem correct to protect the pump. Problem is the fuse keeps blowing. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening. Some may say to bring the car back to the person who installed it, but there is no chance of that happening.

not in my experience no.

you have to ask yourself why its popping the fuse..
max load is 12v applied to pump direct... so 10a fuse and run direct off battery to check the pumps not the issue, ve some other wiring bother.

if you use solenoid also, it will also have a current draw if fed off the same fused supply

From an electricians point of view if something was a 10a load you would use the next fuse size up, fusing is generally to protect cabling etc. At a gues the start up of the pump is exceeding 10a for a short period of time and blowing the fuse.

Well the car has been off the road since last november. In the meantime I found what the problem was. One of the wires under the carpet was split hence the fuse blowing all the time. So have re wired it and all is well.
