As title, if you could be kind enough to post pictures of your A4 or preferably A4 Dtm's lowered on springs and tell me the drop you had I'd appreciate it.

i have an A4 Dtm and can't decide if I want just a 30mm drop or the full 45mm, thanks in advance

Just get coil overs and get it over and done with :jump:

Haha, not for me mate, must admit they look the best but I use it everyday and there's some nasty speed humps where I work

To be honest I would rather choose coil overs, over lowering springs. That way if you not happy with the ride height you can adjust with lowering springs once you lowered thats it. And actually a lot of the Audis I have driving with coil overs are more comfortable than the S line suspension as I find its very crashy.

Just because you have coilovers doesn't mean you have to slam it, they just give you more flexibility. I'm not a great fan really low cars, not practical for me and I don't think they look that great anyway.

New car on coilovers, still plenty of threads so can go up or down and rides fantastic, better than S line and the H&R springs on my previous car. A but bit unfair to compare tho as I only changed the springs on the old car not the dampers.

Old car on original dampers but with H&R 35mm springs.

Mine on H&R Ah Exclusive 110mm drop. Only photos I have since they've been fitted.

I do agree ajax1976 if on coilovers don't need to be slammed but that's how I bought mine and now looking for some rear cup adjusters so I can lift it

Very true as you just need to have the car sitting exactly where you want it

The grey one sits perfect and is the look I'm after mate, you say 35mm h&r springs? With mine being a dtm which set would I need as I've been informed the h&r's drop it 45mm

If it's a 4wd dtm then yes it'll be 45mm springs, if it's a 2wd one then it'll be 35mm springs. Grey one is a 2wd so it's the 35mm springs although in reality they dropped it a tad more than that. I can't comment on how accurate the quoted 45mm ones drop, may be some of the other guys will chime in, sure there's a few guys running them

not a dtm, but might as well do.
19'' alloys, standard s-line shocks, H&R 45mm springs.

Explained it all to you a few posts up. 4wd cars are 45mm and 2wd 35mm, both are not interchangeable.
Is your DTM 2wd or 4wd?

*Not a recommended lowering solution, rear tyres will shred!

Not a DTM but will chuck this in anyway. Like above coilovers as if wanted can be set to any height. A decent set of KW Varient or BC Racing coilovers and you can set bump and bounce ratio for a firm or soft ride. Bit of low and slow then swap to a bit of track time whenever you need ;)

They are lush, what they off? Q7 or summit like that? What does it drive like with them on? I do fancy a set tbh

optional extra on an audi a8 pal, drove mint can ride real low too with the width and offset a know a few ppl selling if ya interested both round the 1400 mark, ive already sold mine they went to germany last month

Might be soon m8, got a few things to sort on the car first as the previous owner didn't give a monkeys about the car so I'm fixing the problems he's left. Will give you a shout tho when I get sorted

No pics but i'm running quattro sline se avant ,the same spec as a dtm but without the bling bits .I have h &r 45mm springs plus the earlier a4 spring plates on the front to give it a slight nose down stance and it is not too bad ,some narrow but high speedbumps catch me out but most i can drive over just slightly slower.

Hi guys, Wheres the best place 2 get some HnR springs from and can anyone say for sure if the DTM is best lowered 45mm?

Thanks, Karl.

I have some H&R lowering springs for RS4's which will do S4 as well (same weight). And I have a set of perch plates for sale ;)

HI, how much u after fella and wheres abouts are u? How much will these lower the DTM and would the weight be an issue?
