Hello, just treated myself to a 56plate s3, hopefully picking it up over the weekend :) the only thing what was on the back of my mind before buying it was underneath the rear reg plate there is a couple of small bumps in the paint. Hardly noticble but I dont want it to go any further.

Whats the chance of audi sorting this under warranty or is thats wishfull thinking.

Cheers peeps.

Go ask audi about it. Should be covered for 10 years unless its been re-painted privately then they might snub it.

I've owned my audi for almost a year now and not one day has gone by where I dont feel exactly the same as the day I bought it. Absolutely love them. You'll definetely enjoy it.

Get pics up.

Will post some pics when I pick it up :) carnt wait, havenrt slept properly all week lol. Ill get onto audi and see what they say other wise a trip to the bodyshop for touching up I guess?

Audi have been spot on repairing blemishes in my paint, laquer started to bubble very faintly on front bumper, smart repair done no questions asked. Then same happened again in the same place 6 months later so they have just given it a full bumper respray. Can't complain.

Fingers crossed then they will sort it for me! I still havent picked the car up yet, still waiting for the funds to be available in the bank :) at least the garage has had time to sort a few issues out with it, one being the steeping wheel shaking around 70 mph, they were hoping its just the balances.
Could any one advise me on when to have the haldex oil change? I was looking through the masses of service history but couldbt seem to find out if or when it was last changed? Also a rough cost?
Thanks for all your comments :)

Just had my haldex done at 40k, not sure if it follows on from that with every 40k maybe less as the car gets older, think audi charge about £80.

Soo finally picked the car up last night! Really pleased with it apart from lol.....
The traction control light is permantly on now, wasnt like that whem I took for a test drive and the esp button wont turn it off or on. It had a rear caliper replaced due to sticking, could this be something to do with it? Also it doesn't seem to get up to temp; just sits below 90. So looks like she will be going back for a few days :(
Anyone hadany experience s with their traction light?

Pics to follow ;)

Nice car

I think it could maybe be a abs/speed sensor.

I only say this because I had same problem on my old BMW but have heard same stories on different makes of cars so hopefully a quick fix..

Better off getting it scanned on VCDS ..

I know the feeling

Is the dealer far from you?

And yes a remap will make it a much better drive for sure .

No not to far thankfully,

That's ok then, I know it's your new pride and joy but don't stress over it, the dealer will have to sort it .

Cars are more fun without traction control anyway..ha

Your temperature issue will be your temp sensor. They are quite bad for them. My car had the same issue.

Might be more likely the thermostat if it isn't getting up to temp, they jam open when they break.

No way, thats mad! Thanks for finding that. Theres a video on youtube of tiff from 5th gear on the track, same car but last letter of reg is different. I thought that was mad. Cheers.

Lovely car mate, I've had mine about 6 weeks and am loving it :D

Just went drag racing in it yesterday and had it remapped about 4 weeks ago, so off you go ;)

Thought I recognised the plate, one of the ex-press cars.

Looks nice :icon_thumright:

Well spotted.

Good colour choice  I always remember the salesman asking me if I was sure about this colour when we spec'd ours. Turns out the salesman hadn't seen the colour in the flesh - needless to say when it turned up he changed his mind!

Still love Sprint Blue! Wish I'd gone that way sometimes, although strangely don't suit the rotors IMHO.

It's probably best that those things are happening now, more chance of it being repaired for free! Then you can really enjoy her

Jay, make sure you get the garage to check absolutely everything. Whilst it's there you might as well get it perfect so you can really enjoy it. Nice car BTW.
