I do around 17k a year, so fuel consumption does matter to me... well, as long as it's not horrendous I suppose. I had a TTS and that could barely average 28mpg, now matter how saintly I drove it. I then got a TTRS and that waa actually better, at 30mpg. I put that down to the 7th gear on the s tronic. I don't use the Efficiency setting on my S3 - just can't be doing with the lack of engine breaking. Mine was set to Individual when I got 40mpg on Saturday - that's dynamic for steering, exhaust and default setting for the gear box. Drove up to Lincolnshire today, wasn't hanging around... A14, A1 and the along some fast Fen A roads; lots of over takes because of slow moving lorries - covered 72 miles, got just under 35mpg. I'm averaging 34 after covering 800 miles since taking delivery. Very pleased with my S3 so far... fast and economical. Who needs a diesel?! LOL!
