Well here it is my latest addition, been on the look out for an S3 for a while now.
This one turned up 35 miles from home It was a no brainer to go for a look !
2002 S3 8l,in stunning Nogaro blue with black leather and blue alcantara.
The car has done 102k and has full service history, its in generally good condition not perfect but as with any twelve year old car it has its bad points and needs a bit of tlc.It has a Milltek cat back exhaust and appears to have been enthusiast owned at some point.Overall there are loads of receipts for work over the years and old mots to back up the mileage. The interior is in immaculate condition seats are unmarked however there is the usual wear and tear on headlight switch radio buttons etc.
I am going to draw up a plan of attack to see what jobs I am going to do first and what I`m going to get the local specialists to take on !!
Here are the all important pics to let you see how it looks at the moment.(dirty)

Ah sweet!! Love it how the noggy paintwork is still so reflective after twelve years and loving the Milltek - makes me hanker after one even more!!!

Lovely colour and great combo with the interior - looks in immaculate condition as you say :)

This noggy club on here is getting larger by the month. Majority of all s3 8l noggy owners must be on ASN :D

Thanks buddy, unfortunately its not immaculate by any stretch of the imagination, the interior is excellent though.
Its a daily driver so hopefully get the few bits and pieces tidied up and just use it:thumbsup:

Looks stunning mate and the perfect colour combo too.

Nilz! What are you saying mate? Perfect colour combo as you & I know is silver with spangly anthracite rims. Go to your room & think about what you've done.

(Nice noggy example though - I especially love the spotless interior and matching mats).

OK OK, im sorry, I do agree the silver and anthracite sparkly disco wheels is the way to go, although a part of me does really like the blue and black noggy example....once again im sorry :(

I think there is something old school or retro about the two tone interior. My daughter actually said WTF is that !!!
Must be good if it upsets a teenage A1 driver !!!
How do you clean it though !!!!!!!

Well clearing the bobbling is a doddle, get yourself a JML Bobble Off or if you are feeling cheap, get a set of bic disposable razors (seriously) and give them a once over.

Fitted my alcantara blue/black interior yesterday to my noggy and that JML bobble off is ****** good.... (available at Argos and other home retail stores)

For under £6 you'd have to be feeling seriously cheap to get the bic disposable razors on them! lol.

Raceglaze seems to be a good product to use on the alcantara as well to clean it will so will give that a go soon :)

I will have to look into that Raceglaze stuff, as I have the blue and black interior in mine too :)

Yeah mine were de-bobbled about a year ago but I could do with giving them a clean on the extendable thigh supports. I've had my eye on that raceglaze alcantara cleaner too

I'll see if I can track down some Raceglaze Alcantara cleaner,to be fair the seats are not very bobbly !!!
I have Gliptone to do the leather.
Today I made a "to do" list and it's not as bad as I first thought, couple of days next week should see it sorted !!

Well a bit of an update. When I got the car I was concerned that the temp gauge didn't seem to work properly and the cooling fans were running all the time. Connected up my VCDS and it indicated that the temp sensor in the expansion tank was at fault.(only other fault showing up was a left headlight range adjuster u/s)
Bought a new tank and fitted it today a quick test drive later up and down the bypass a few times, temp gauge good as new!! Fans coming on only when they should do. As a result of this success I decided to do an oil and filter change and engine flush. Tomorrow will do a bit of cleaning see what lies beneath the layer of Sahara dust!!!

Update from the previous post. Discovered the car has some form of poly bush on the dogbone ,also K&N panel filter and LED sidelights!!
All nice little surprises that I hadn`t expected or been told about by the previous owner!!

Wee update bought a new headlight switch and it's wear free !!
Also bought some of those aircon heater control stickers from Ebay and they actually look ok,surprised I was !!!!!!
Also snapped up an Alpine Dab,radio cd with Bluetooth and phone prep! Awaiting the single din adaptor plate coming before I can fit it,hopefully be here tomorrow and I can get it fitted!!!
Pics to follow !!!!

I had one of these in Nagaro blue for 4 years and loved it I bought the genuine audi RS4 wheels for mine and it made the car look and handle so much better, I sold it 3years ago when I ordered my RS3 but still have the genuine un marked 18" RS4 wheels + centre caps for they cost me nearly £2500 with the centre caps. They have been gathering dust in my garage, if any if you are interested pm me as I'm sick of them lying about the garage I don't want silly money I want rid of them
