A3/S3 Photos Thread

The grills for the same Model Year (we call this one the 8P3) across the range will fit each other.

But the Bumper for the RS3 won't fit the A3\S3 as the RS3's wheel arches are wider. ;)
 
Ohh right, I'm just looking for a chrome bumper for my 2010 Audi A3 1.4TFSI S Line?
 
**** yeah sorry 😂 so the S3 chrome grill fits into my car? Is it easy to fit in? As in, do I need someone specialised to do this??
 
Calvin it's a straight swap like for like... Wait for a sunny day and you can do it yourself. There's about 26 screws and 2x 10mm bolts to remove to get the front bumper off then you unscrew the grille from behind the bumper. Hence why the front end has to come off to gain access. The picture when I did mine - took about 2hrs total to remove/ swap and replace. You can see the edge of the honeycomb grille if you zoom in, there are roughly 11 screws that you have to do undo to remove the grille from the bumper - it is easy. Tools required 10mm socket with extension bar, torx 25 & 27 driver.

Sorry to ask again... How do I install the S Line badge onto the grill? Do I need to pop the bonnet up? Never done it before you see 😝
 
Standard grill? Can't afford the S3 grill for the time being you see mate :)
 
From what I can remember it should just pull off as it's bladed that slot into the grille....Is this what your referring too?

Ah right, also, how do I remove an emblem on the car and put a new one on? I want to remove the "1.4T" on it and replace it with "TFSI" you see :)
 
Heat it up with a hair dryer and use some teeth floss to get in behind the lettering. It's only bonded by strong tape so it will give eventually. Don't be tempted to use a flat screwdriver because you'll definitely be asking for trouble.
 
Will it wreck the paint work in anyway? And to apply the new emblem, what do I use to stick it on with?

The new lettering will have pre applied tape that you can use. The paintwork should be fine, if not, use some polish to get rid of any stains then clean the surface then reapply your lettering
 
What is everyone's opinion on a red A3? Just purchased one and id like to know what everyone thinks of them? :)

New KW coilovers and wash / wax...should have set the suspension a hair lower, but I'm good for now.
