Im in 2 minds if I should purchase some form of warranty for my a3 when the dealer cover expires in a couple of weeks. Ive been quoted £400 from warranty direct for a 2007 2.0 tdi s line, with 97k on the clock. Anybody have experience with them and is it worth it?

I have used Waranty Direct before. They do honour claims but the claims process is a PITA. Also due to the age and milage of your car you might find that the excess is a lot if you do need to claim. Read the small print as you will definitely not be fully covered.

I went with Audi when my dealer warranty expired, its been very good for me too. Got work done well in excess of what I have paid out.

I believe the amount of items that are covered are reduced massively once you go over 100k

You have to have the car serviced properly and worn out parts aren't covered.

Gone for warranty wise in the end. Paying £30 a month on a pay as you go scheme. But there is an £100 excess fee and I'm only covered for up to £50 p/h labour fee.

I had an Auto Protect policy included with my 09 S Line with 74k on the clock from Imperial Car Supermarket last May, Alternator failed last week, all covered just had to pay £82 for new battery which wasn't covered. I call that a result. :salute:

I've had around 3k worth of pay-outs from WD, so I can't complain!
