Is it an se? I believe for you that you will need a different throttle pedal. Someone will be along to correct that I'm sure. Other than that you need a cruise control stalk, a cable from kufatec and vagcom. Then your done. There are guides on the forum to show you how it's done along with links to what you need

not sure to be honest mate its my first audi after a life time of fords so starting from scratch with audis sorry
 
On your dials is there a LCD screen that displays mpg ect, if so it's an se
 
Then it's an SE (specialist equipment) I believe it stands for
 
Its different for a petrol.
Diesels are DBW and I don't think the petrols are.
If its DBW then its easy, if its not then you need some more bits and bobs to get it going. I think Aragorn did it to his motor.

I can help that's not an issue.
 
cheers guys ill have to investigate can anybody point me in the right direction to the guides that are on here or somebody who has done it on a petrol?
 
Scotty is the man dude, as for a guide, just go on Google and type it in. 9 times out of ten it will be from the forum anyway

look under your bonnet at the throttle body
if it has a dirty great bicycle brake cable coming out of it you will need some other bits as your car has a cable throttle (physical cable between accelerator and throttle)

if it doesnt and just has lots of wires and a big black plug unit on the side it is easier

I have a cruise control stalk set wot I took out of the Quattro before it went scrap wise.

Also a dimming rear mirror from the same car if you want the Quattro upgrades.
 
the stalk came off a 2000 TDi 2.5 Q so I would have thought so.
 
anyone fitted a Kufatec loom
their instructions are very hard to follow

have four pins for the ECU block and a longer unpinned wire (earth I assume)
 
I have and I hated it.
But i got there in the end.

The longer cable is power I think.

There is stamps on the end of the cable that should help.
 
luckily I took some pics of the loom that came out of the donor car
bit of a tape and spit job but I can see they pulled power from somewhere

need to find an instruction manual for the cruise also, do you see anything in the DIS for cruise?

major issue I have is switching the ****** clocks as my current clocks sometimes have zero DIS
 
You see nothing on the clocks for CC. which is poor show on Audis part I think.

It gets power from the fuse box.
If you check your fuses, one of them will says CC.
I just tapped it in to there.

better than the chopped in spliced power from the back of some random plug that was there before!
