Hi guys, so I got my four wheel alignment done, company is quality car service in Milton Keynes, they charge £150 for geometry alignment with readings, but had a £100 off voucher (was never gonna spend £150)
Anyways, before it went, the steering wheel centre was at around 1 o'clock position.
They took it in, and they said would take around 2 hours........ 7 hours later, still no call, I had go phone them, they said its ready.
I took it for a drive. The wheel was now very slightly to the left, so closer to 11 o'clock position, when held straight, it veers to the right.
I took it back in yesterday, they said would take about half an hour to adjust.
I was waiting for 2 and half hours,I then needed my car back, they said, they are having trouble aligning it, don't know why, it's now at 2 o'clock position so worse, I'm taking back tomorrow and leaving it with them.
They said it could be bushes worn but I'm sure it wouldn't that much out? Plus I can't feel any knocking from suspension or when turning.
Any advice on what to do if it still comes back tomorrow not done? I really dnt have much money at moment as I was made redundant couple months ago, still searching for a job. Car is 2003 8p1 2.0 tdi bkd 140 158000 miles FWD
attached is readings and tread value
Thanks

why havnt they adjusted the rear?
from you thumbnails its out on the rear and ok on the front?
they obviously dont know how to adjust the car as with a biesbarth 4wa machine you can set up the dead centre of the steering and adjust the wheel if required

I mentioned this to them, said just put the wheel straight, however they said there was more effective........ I failed to ask what there way was, I got a call from them sayin there machine has gone off for calibration, so gotta take it in next week, funny thing is, my mums, and brothers car went in to have same thing done, all three cars steering was off. I will speak to them when it goes in next to adjust it all again

£150 and all day! What the Fvck have they been doing? It wouldn't take that long to a full setup with corner weighting etc.

When I had mine done it took all of 20 minutes and cost me £40, I did it with the guy it really wasn't difficult. Front toe and rear camber and toe are all easily adjustable.

I didn't pay £150, only paid £50 with voucher,, would never pay £150, but the looks of it, think I should have, I'm not to sure, Everytime I called to ask for an update, I'd get ' we are just doin the adjustments'

£150! Even £50 is a bit much. I had mine done (Quattro) and cost me £45 and took about 15-20mins, sounds like these people don't no what there doing!? How reputable are they?

They seem to keep fobbing you off with some lame excuse '' we are just doing the adjustments'', ''the machine has gone off for calibration'' sounds suspicious to me and how long have they taken so far to figure all of this out.........JOKE!

Have they actually managed to get your car aligned or are they STILL having issues?

they need someone that knows how to use it
i bet there just adjusting 1 side

I have this same issue on mine right now and it's driving me crazy. My alignment specs are pretty much perfect and have tried swapping rear wheels to front on the off chance one of the tyres had something wrong with it. Still no change. The alignment shop swore black and blue that it is well within spec and they reckon they cant replicate the issue and that I'm basically being pedantic. The steering wheel is at 11 o clock ***!!

The mechanic I used to change some bushes etc recently also confirmed that alignment specs don't get much better than what I have and as I've changed so many things on the suspension these things can happen..

Take it to Tyres Northampton and get them to sort it out - they know what they are doing. I've not found a company in Milton Keynes who can do a good alignment to date. Shame that Wheels In Motion stopped their venture in MK as they knew what they were doing..

I'd be asking for my money back and be taking it somewhere else. They sound like complete morons. I had mine done and it cost £40 and took about half an hour, at the most.

.....I've not found a company in Milton Keynes who can do a good alignment to date....

I used to own a Monaro and Monkfish Performance in Great Horwood had the full Hunter alignment system and are very good. They have a fantastic reputation in the Holden/HSV community. I used to travel all the way up from Kent to visit them. They were the only place I would trust with the car. It may be worth contacting them to see if they can sort it for you. If they still do it that is, I've been out the game a few months now. It will obviously cost you though.

If you ring them, tell them that Tempy recommended you. Roger or Andy are the chaps to speak to. They should remember me. I spent enough money there :)

I sent a freind down to ask if they able to do his allignment to see they say, he only lives down the road, they said the machine is gone out for now, so I guess that have actually sent it off for calibration, I will drop it back to them when the machine is back and see if it gets sorted.... If they say its my car, which I doubt due to how much it kept goin out of alignment but first time they got it close, I will then take it else where, ill give Northampton and monkfish a shout, see what the prices are and see which I can afford, if another company gets it sorted, I will then ask for my money back, I call quality car service about an bout an hour ago, regarding why rears wernt adjusted, there answer was that it was still in tolerance so no need, looking at the attachment, although it's apparently in tolerance, i will ask them get both sides to equal reading when it goes back in next week.
It's just ****** annoying right now drinking with steering at 2 o'clock position
