My car used to do this ages ago... i think i changed both the clutch and brake switchs and it stopped.
I bought the brake switch from GSF and the clutch switch from TPS, Can they have failed this quickly? or are there other causes too?

Its a 2001 AMK S3

Clutch switch. Mine failed in under 12 months mate.

There is a block for testing the switches at 66 on engine measuring blocks. It's the block for cruise control testing, you can see the 0's changing to 1's when the brake and clutch are operated.

Thanks pal.
Ive just nipped out and tried the 66 measuring block... the clutch pedal changes the 0 to a 1 about 10mm from the top,
The brake pedal changes the last two 0's to 1's about the same point the car would start to brake.
Is this right?
Sory , realy mental day here so couldnt read the full rosstech page,

Should it change right at the top?
Can you think of any other possible reason for the revs going up?
