I have had it two weeks now, I love it!!
Just think it could do with a few mods, :)
Any ideas? What would you do first?
There is so much available, I dont know where to start. At the same time, I dont want to go over the top and spoil it. If you know what I mean.

Looks nice and honest mate. I'd change the wheels personally and I do like the front grill being changed to black rather than chrome, bit of a stealth look?

yep, agree. wheels and grill. oh yeah a bit lower, maybe s line springs if you dont want to go too low

Yeah I do like the look of the black grill, stealth look :)
What kind of wheels would you go for? Audi or after market?

I think it would look nice lowered, but like you say, not too much! Is there a noticeable diffence using S Line springs?

I personally prefer the OEM look but certain aftermarket wheels do impress me. I like the BBS wheels that were supplied with some A3's.

I think there would be a noticeable difference with s-line springs depending on what model your car is now. Is it SE or sport or other?

Yeah I like the OEM look too, hmmmm not sure which ones though.

It is the sport mate!

i think the s line springs may give you a 15mm drop all round. wheel wise, i'd go for OEM or BBS but both should 18"s, no cheap aftermarket but all depends on your budget

I've got the 2007 170 quattro, it came with 18" Speedlines which are great. So far I've done the following and I'm more than happy:-

S3 Pedals
LED Rears
LED Internally with light pack
Silver Roof Bars
Laminex Headlights Light Smoke
Sensible remap

Not to keen on the black grill personally as I like the contrast of the chrome on black, and the silver wheels/roof bars also.

Good choice of car!

Cheers,

Scott

this was my last A3

Your last A3 was a peice of art. Gorgeous motor. What car(s) did you have inbetween your last a3 and this one?

Lovely car dave I have just taken the plunge myself but the 140bhp variant. I may chip mine to bring it up to similar power to yours

went from the above black SB S Line to the below

I like that grill too!

Stick with either oem wheels or bbs (I know someone with some nice ck for sale haha) speed lines etc.

Lovely motor.......

Yeah I do like the BBS
Where is the best place to get them from. Same with the S line springs.
Loads of places but dont want to end up with replicas.
You have had a couple of beautys mate. Love the silver roof bars. They set it off nicely. Plus the window tints.
Also the grill on the white one is stunning.
Where did u get those number plates. They are smart.
Nice car mate!!
Cheers
Dave

Thanks. Was there a lot of work involved with the led rears?
What about the pedals?
Sorry for all the questions just getting ideas.
Cheers

LED rears are probably one of be best mods, they are stunning! I got mine done by Jonny from this site...aka Jbo0. There is some minor wiring mods and coding required, personally prefer this to be done properly who knows what they are doing.

S3 pedals can be bought on ebay or from Audi, just make sure they are OEM. Fairly straight forward DIY mod.

Another fairly cheap but worthwhile mod is changing all the internal bulbs and rear number plate bulbs to LED's. This just makes the car look much more modern. I have also just fitted the additional boot light, again, well worth it. Trups is the man for the LED bulbs and RobinA3 is the daddy for additional boot light loom, both members on this site.

Once the mods start you can't stop!

Hope this helps...

Thanks for your help mate. Are the internal bulbs easy enough to do yourself?
I know what you mean about once the mods start you can't stop from a previous car. Problem is this time I have to justify mods the the other half lol.
HMMMMMMM, thinking of a plan...... :scared2:

Nice. Didnt know you had a bump, not been on here long... ouch. Looks nice anyhow.
Do you get left alone by the law for having those plates?

the bump was only cosmetic so,all ok there.
yep the plate are all legal so no problems

Internal bulbs are fairly easy. Only problem I hard was pulling the doorcards out just enough to get access to the bulb holders. That is if you have the puddle lights.

Audi seem to meaure the wiring to the last mm so they don't leave much excess for this job. Just takes a wee bit of confidence to pull the cards out, they just pop out by they way as it just a push fit system. Worth the hassle though!

Agree, nice wheels! They balance the colour just right without being too dark.

I could be wrong if you're talking about something else at the back, but you already have LED rear lamps if you have a facelift Sportback!

Same alloys as I used to have bud, get some Audi genuine's on there and she'll transform!

Are those the black edition wheels mate? 18"
Have you lowered yours at all.
I do like those against the black.

You are right, mine are already LED... DOH!! :banghead:

Very nice Dave.

I had the same with alloy Roof Rails.Stuck 235 45 17's on.made it look more the business.

But best £275 I spent was on a Remap.went to 215 BHP 316 Torque.completely changed it to a different animal.

Was the best car ever, but even better now upgraded to RS3.

Very nice mate....
Did you have the DPF delete or just the remap?
RS3....... :hubbahubba:

Just Remap..

The torque steer was vicious.but acceleration was amazing the 316 after remap, you can imagine what its like on a FWD .

Get that Remap done.
