Ok, I'm really hoping that these will fit as I have just bought them but need to collect them next week.
They are 8.5j et13 fronts and 10j et20 rears. Am I going to have too much poke out of my arches guys or will they look pretty damn sweet? Size is 17" but I plan to slam the car :)
thank you

Will be running stretched tyres too obviously :)

Ok...
i didn't really want to have to post a picture before they were installed on the car but if its nessesary to add a picture of the wheels it's no problem. Hope this works......

thats gonna be very close to your arch

They'll stick out well beyond your arch - I'd say a no go myself.

POKE CITY. 10" + ET20. Crazy poke good luck

If they need adaptors to fit, I think you've got no chance, I have 9.5 et 47 with 20mm adaptors and they poke about 10mm. thats with a slightly pulled arch

Direct fit dude 5x112 so fingers crossed. I almost certainly know that I'm modding the rear arches for sure but I'll
make the car fit the wheels some how and that's a promise. I just wanted to get a rough estimate of how much poke I'm dealing with :-D
cheers

well heres mine final et 27 with 225/40/18s and i've pulled arches with a heat gun and a baseball bat about 3-4mm i would guess.

Ive just offered one of the borbets up to see what im up against on the back end and to be honest, i dont think its that drastic.
Let me know your thoughts??
Also i have just had a chat with a fella from banded steels and he's told me it will be no trouble to flare out the arch to accomodate my borbets... result :)

Forget about the wheel bearings, it's the handling I'd be really worried about, it might look smart, but it'll understeer like a pig as there will be a lot more grip at the rear than the front. The only front-to-rear wheel difference I've ever thought was worthwhile was to use same spec wheels, but put the rears on very slightly NARROWER tyres than the front, so give yourself slightly less understeer.... and then put the rear wheels on spacers to give yourself that wide hot-rod stance at the back: there's a few FWD GTI's that have done it (Polo GTI and the top spec fwd A1). It'll increase your rear track without increasing your rear grip. Only difference that you'd have if it was a S4 would be that you'd trash the torsen differential... quattro's can't handle different spec wheels as the rotation is different on each axle and the differential will be working overtime. RS4 body on a fwd drivetrain might be interesting and would make this a doddle, but that's a whole front-end conversion too as the wings would need to match the other body panels...

Its all for atheistic purposes to be honest mates, im not bothered about under steer/over steer or wheel bearings for that matter and I personally don't drive my cars like i'm a young tool, thrashing it from one place to the next either. im more of a cruiser man these days and what I'm hoping to achieve with these wheels, is the ultimate summer euro cruiser ;-)
Once i have installed my coilover kit, slammed it and have the wheels sat right... I then want to colour code the car and move on to the interior.
I'm a serious sucker for these Borbet B's, this is my 3rd set on different cars lol.
I cant see the front being too much of an issue though because they are 8.5j and have a higher et but the deep dish is exactly the same which is why i wanted them.
Thank you for your inputs
cheers mates
