Well as some of u know I recently went to rtech to remap my car custom stage 2 whilst there nick advised me to replace my coolant temp sensor and get a new maf as mine was still original one with the car, 12 years old! So off I went today and replaced the maf got a new one from my Audi dealer and wow nick ur the daddy! The car felt so much better and responded so great had me smiling all day! Im so grateful to met nick and got great advise was well worth it! Also while st Audi asked them to sort out the corrosion on my roof lines so will see what happens there but overall a happy bunny and can't wait to get to rtech on the 22nd to up my boost to 21-22psi I'm only running 15 now so will be another great day I hope!

Fair play! Great to hear good news from forums

Mr Customboy, I think R-Tech should be paying you with the amount of raving you have done about them ;)

To be honest though, I have never heard a bad thing about them.

So its all good :)

I've been hearing a lot of good things about r tech lately suppose it might be another software to try ;)

Nice mate you should get decent power out of it then :) I'm going for a stage 2 Revo map on my S3 when I get back from the Falklands. Can't wucking fait!!! :D

+1 on that.

Haha well I have had many vw and audis and different remaps on each of them but never been so happy with rtech!

They should have the mr Kipling logo

They make exceedingly good remaps!!

It great that you have had such a good experience and I have heard from various people that nick is spot on.

Will have to head down some time as we chatted on Facebook about the xspower mani a while back.

Well worth the visit jim mate it's just such a great learning experience and seeing how they work can't wait for the 22nd!! Now!

Stacey, RTech isn't just a software. Niki's attention to detail and constant strive for improvement is what makes RTech the best. He doesn't just slap on a stage, he learns you and the car and makes it work for you.

Best in the business IMO. You won't find a bad word on his results or customer service anywhere.

Yeah I know jardo it wouldn't be a stage anyway will be full custom and his reputation and attention to detail is why am considering him
I've had Amd stage 1 & 2, MTM and a custom map off of bill, I can only fault one previous map and that was MTM but think may go for a change again ;)

The scary thing is he enjoys it, strange man...

Haha

From what I saw, Nick knows about Bosch ME, fueling, timing, knock control, etc... And he likes to tune!! :D

out of interest how much did the maf set u back? also i have heard somewhere that audi will take ur original maf as part chop?? maybe wrong

I think r tech are actually the only tuner that i havent heard something bad about..

Nah bosch will take it back in p/x and give you about £40 back off your £111 it costs from GSF.

I bought my new maf from Audi for £120 which wasn't to bad they charge a £45 surcharge fee on top if u don't return ur old maf to them, so I just unscrewed mine popped down there handed over the old debit card and bobs ur uncle and I must say made such a difference, nick and the whole rtech team are just great people since I did my first remap with ben which was a mobile map I just got the bug after all he told me about the agu engines, so monkey see monkey want and does lol, I listened to every bit of advise from them and have ended up with a great stage 2 map on my car, the whole experience at rtech is simply great not only watching ur car get worked on with respect but also being shown each stage of progress and being able to voice any concerns and being meet with great understanding and also nick Ben and jim teach u so much and they always go out of their way to make u feel welcome and valued, at times the work they have done on my car and watching them do it feels like I have robbed them, nicks attention to detail all in the sense of good power rather then " heres my car now make it go stupid quick then bang" is excellent, we both spoke about people turning up in their cars having loads of faults and still wanting remaps done and was great to hear nick tell me he just explains to them about their faults asks them respectfully to address their issues and then he's only to happy to remap their car, rather then give me the money and if it goes bang tough! I know I rave about rtech a great deal but if something is this good u have to let people know and hopefully people who have read my threads will know I have worked hard to save and get a stage 2 done and I'm a great admirer of the map and just the overall great customer support rtech offers, and I know there are other mappers out there who do the same great job but credit to these guys who have made a great contribution to the mapping scene, even know Im thinking of the k04 route!! When will it end lol !

Bit harsh there lee mate there are great tuners everywhere it all depends on what route u want to take on ur car and how u want it to drive it, I'm just talking and writing through my own experiences with rtech and not here to bad mouth anyone there are numerous posts about other great tuners such as badger here and revo maps it all depends on once again what u want from ur car mate

Will probably see you there, same day I'm heading down there for my map,

How long did it take you to get from yours to r tech?

Hi markey it took me just over two hours as I could push the car hard on the motorway till the remap was done what time u got ur car booked in mate?

I'm booked in for 9:30, will be leaving work at 7 as I'm on the dreaded nightshift that week,
Really looking forward to my visit now
What time u there

I've heard good things about R-Tech, would be good to pop down one day.. But I've been etching to go to badger 5 for ages!

Markey I'm meant to get there just after ten mate so see u next thursday! Should be great day

I haven't heard anything bad about Rtech either. Just a shame they don't have 4WD Dyno. Especially that they're 40 minutes away from me :(

Why do you think thats harsh? i know alot of vag owners and I have heard good and bad of pretty much every tunerd, I have only ever heard good things about rtech.

Dont worry bill, we have had our differences in the past but your still on top in my book.

Welcome nick look forward to seeing u soon hob knobs are ready and waiting lol!

Should be another great day with even bigger smiles and tummy full of biscuits lol

Mine is booked in with nick at Rtech on the 23rd of this month and I'm eager to see what he can do with it as I'm already getting reasonable airflow (210g/s) from my unknown stage 1 map but running quite a safe amount of timing.

Occasionally I do get the 17705 fault code, but this doesn't happen often, and it doest throw it into soft limp or anything, I'm sure there isn't a leak either, so am I right in thinking this can be mapped out?

I'm also quite tempted to get some tfsi coils to see if they can make a difference, even if I only get a smoother idle il be happy.

Apparently it's a software bug that effects certain cars more than others, I had a mate over the other day who had a chronic case of it, no leaks anywhere, actual vs requested boost were spot on, as was airflow, but it kept on throwing the same code and going into limp mode.

Spoke to Niki about it and certain software versions are more prone to it, Marcs golf had one of the more unlucky software codes that suffers from it badly when mapped. It's something he can patch out anyway :)
