Hi

Im running 18' S line alloys on my B7 Avant, tyres are perelli 235/40/18

Don't know if this is normal with these, but on full lock or slow manoeuvres the tyres feel like they are almost folding or falling of.

Checked the tyre pressure all ok, doesn't pull and generally drives fine

Any ideas?

Thanks

like they're a bit wobbly?
Mine has always felt like this, both on the std suspension and on the coilovers

How much tread have you got left on them? Mine did this when I had about 2mm left, swap for new tyres and it went away. Was on Michelin ps2 now on Vredestein ultrac sessantas.

i bet it's a quattro?

As stated change the tyres and it will be fine, it's how the diffs deal with differences in rolling radius that makes it skip

Yep, low tyre tread. It happens to most people. If you don't want to change your tyres yet, just try and live with it till they do.

FWD, just checked, approx 2-3 mm left. Will eventually replace tyres and report back.

Thanks for the replies

Check the tyres where the tread meets the sidewall. Have seen some where the tread is parting from the wall and these were premium quality brand not budget.

It's a common thing with the B7 apparently when the tread gets low the tyres feel strange and also make strange noises when moving slowly.

2mm- they want throwing before the snow comes, or you car will be ice skating this winter.

What you said, plus one. I never let mine get less than 4mm before I change them.
