After owning 2 x 3.2 dsg sportbacks over the last 5 yrs, the time had come for me to move into something else. I have always loved the low down torque and relaxed cruising style of driving that the 3.2dsg gave. However with the car now 6 yrs old and having the potential to be very expensive if anything went wrong I decided to move on.
Being a petrol head at heart but also realistic on what is practical and affordable I considered a number of cars,
Golf edition 30/Pirelli
Megane RS
Clio Gordini
Giulietta cloverleaf
BMW 330/335d
BMW 335i
Audi S3
Ultimately though it came down to one thing..........quattro! I knew that would be the one thing I would miss more than anything else.
Anyway I'd been trawling the ads for a while looking for one with the required options (i.e most of them!) and after looking at a few I found one in a local dealership at the right price. A few days of negotiations later, I had got a decent part-ex price for mine and the deal was done and here it is!
Was a little unsure of the interior looking on the ad pictures, but in reality I think it's one of the nicest things on the car, really does go with the exterior.
I knew it wouldn't have the low down torque of the 3.2, but tbh it's better than I expected it to be and it feels a whole lot quicker! Overall I'm very happy with the change and don't miss the big V6 as much as I thought I would.
I took the BBS CK'S of my 3.2 but tbh I'm not really feeling them on the S3 so could be up for grabs, what do you guys think?
Comments appreciated
