Ok it gets clearer, so the A4 convertible came out in 2000, or so is that right. ? Which is obviously why the front end differs. I am sure I will get there in the end.

What I missed was it is a 1995 model, of which I beleive is a B5. Having spoken to Audi UK they say it is a very early one. Keep you posted.:gaehn:
