So Recently I’ve had an issue that only seems to occur when the car is driven from cold. When driving in generally a straight line, pretty much coasting or hardly any throttle in either 6/7th gear around the 40/50 mph mark I get an intermittent pull/wobble from the rear end. It’s a strange...
Didn't realise that, makes life so much simplaer if you can just use your phone. Not sure why they didn't have that function earlier on. I mean its not the end of the world having the Audi connect but its useful to have Real time traffic now and again.
On The PFL you can't use your mobile data via your car, I'm not sure you can even do this on the FL. Hence the Sim card slot for a data only SIM. Silly idea really as it would make life a lot easier to stream data from a connected mobile device. On my m135i the setup worked well as the car had...
Yes the Sim was bought off Amazon. It did need activating via a link which is what I assume you mean above? I activated it and checked this worked in a phone which it did so assume the Sim is all good. I have since tried a Three Sim to rule out any issues with the EE sim but i'm getting the same...
I wonder if anyone can shed any light on an issue I’ve had. I bought an EE preloaded data sim, activated it on a phone, yet when I insert it in the glovebox the car is not even acknowledging the sim is there. It’s fully inserted ‘clicked’ in place.
if I got to the Audi connect section on the...
I’ve seen a lot of people use EE so not sure that’s the issue. I haven’t seen anything on having to activate the sim slot though. There is a setting in the TEL tab to enable something to do with data but I’ve tried that to no success either. I’m kind of leaning to a dodgy MMI/sim unit

Just a quick update for people who may be interested. I purchased the exhaust valve blanking kit from JM722 above and fitted these as I jut found the car needed that 5 pot bark opening up lower down in the rev range. I've also since been to MRC and had a stage 1 map, gearbox tune & BMC filter...
Are the codes only visible to clear through VCDS ? I have a couple of Apps on my phone (OBD Fusion & Dash Command) which have been pretty decent on previous cars in terms of picking up & clearing codes but what I don't want is these codes sitting in the background and pulling power.
Cheers for the input everyone. Seems like blanking plugs are the best way forward then, and do these definitely not store codes or cause ECU to pull power?
Kind of going back to the original question and reading through the thread that Lehn attached T-800 mentioned that unplugging while the car...
I Know this has been asked & talked about several times so forgive me but I still don't fully have an understanding of the best way of doing this.
Am i correct in thinking if I want to unplug the exhaust valves on a Sport exhaust while they are open I can do the following. Let the car idle in...
I have a Pandora Pro fitted with the Remote Start option. It works well and obviously leaves the system armed while its activated. If any alarms/sensors are activated while its running it will cut the engine.
Thanks for that Makes sense now. The ones I mentioned have red stitching on the seats, gaiters & steering wheel but I wasn’t aware you could spec that away from the design pack. Didn’t help that a couple of the adverts mention they have the design pack when clearly they don’t!
Thanks
Sorry to jump in the thread. I'm currently in the market myself for a PFL. The RS design package is something i'm considering buy i keep seeing conflicting interior options. There are several I have seen on Autotrader that don't have the Alcantara Knee pads or red stitching on the doors. Can...
I agree with the pre-facelift comment for sure but cannot comment on the manual or the 5 door issue's as mines the 3dr Auto (LCI) Adaptive suspension, HK, Pro-Nav and some other bits so a decent spec.
Like I said all cars have there pro's & cons and BMW have always been behind Audi in terms of...
