I have the same car and changed the oil filter a few times - never had a problem apart from a little wiggle, although I have had the EGR blanked off :sorry:

I had this done a few years ago and the improvement is amazing (2006 A3 170 Quattro). I had the EGR removed at the same time. All done by Unicorn Developments - might be a good idea to give them a call. The only problem I had was the flywheel and clutch had to be changed. Not had a problem...

Not sure about the latch side because I would love to know how to remove that. The other side (left) should just slide off. It has little tabs on the back that slot on to the glove box. Mine was fairly loose but the replacement was a pain to remove. Hope that helps

Well, got the car checked and the mechanic said its most likely the DPF. He gave me some Forte to put in the car and took it for a long drive but this didn't work! :crying: Spoke to the mechanic again and he said its probably the DPF sensor but it would be better to have the DPF removed. So...
