That would do my head in. Sure it’s not the sunroof creaking? Is there anything in the cubby hole as that’s where the lever for the towbar is? Not got a loose wheel arch liner? Take the warning triangle out the boot door and see if that makes a difference

So they’ve fixed it, a new tsb has come out, removing glass and greasing the **** out of everything apparently. Pick up tomorrow morning, so will see if they can send me the details. apparently also another tsb out that says they may freak when very hot weather…

The s tronic box needs to have the oil changed every 38k miles. If you don’t have proof of it walk away as otherwise no warranty will cover it. If the mech unit goes (common issue), it’s a £4.5k hit…

I’ve just taken this out, £55 a month on monthly payments with £0 excess, no credit check. Worth it as diagnosis is £140 for the first hour and latest figures after that and for repairs are £200/hr is what I’ve been quoted. A parking sensor replacement was £85 for part, £140 diag, and then £400...

If this is an stronic gearbox then you’ll take a risk with any car you buy, so I’d get them to repair it for you if you like the car. At that price I assume it’s the mech unit that’s gone, which are very common.
