Couldn't agree more. I've never had a set of black wheels and never will. To me you lose all the detail in the wheel and of course the tyres need kept perfectly black at all times too, even then it only looks good on a handful of cars at best.
Light anthracite is my preferred option at the moment.
As title really. Looking for a bit of inspiration as to what looks good/bad against the colour. I'm going to be lowering my Special Edition Avant but I don't want to discard the DTM alloys...so I'm wondering what options I have re wheel colour (I'm thinking light anthracite) and how it'll look...
Cheers, H&R springs, paint wheels a light-anthracite (possibly...have a new set of Conti-sports 235/40/18 to go on too) and hopefully some kind of aftermarket exhaust system. And thats it, other than a bluetooth friendly head unit some time down the line.
*edit - I'd like to dechrome the roof...
Thanks Rob. I see there are a lot of "groups" under your avatar? The only one I seem able to see is excessive oil consumption, how do I join quattro/avant and s-line groups? Do I need a certain amount of posts?
This will be my inspiration. As a newbie here this is the first thread I've really had a good look at and I have to say it is stunning. My avant will be getting a subtle slap with the lowering stick as soon as possible.
Hows it going? Just joined the forum, drive an B& '06 2.0T FSI S-Line Quattro Avant Special Edition - 18" DTM wheels, leather etc etc. I also have a VW Jetta TDI Sport and a 2016 Polo GTI but I'm really looking for advice with the Audi - I want to lower the car using either Eibach or H&R...
