Thank you very much:grinning: By the way, I haven't had chance to get the fault codes read as suggested by adams 24 but I filled it with higher quality diesel gave it a run at 3000 rpm for 15 min and the lights gone out and been like that now since Tuesday afternoon.:yahoo:

Hello Folks I'm new to this, Audi's and forums I've got the emission control light showing on my A6 Allroad 2.5 diesel auto 05 and I've read a few points already but generally what does it mean? Is it usually the EGR valve has to be cleaned or are there other likely causes? May be you can...
