You could get them ultrasonically cleaned if you really wanted...

Oh yeh. You should really do it with new injectors too as they might not be flowing the same rates.

The best quick easy injector upgrade is the Bosch injectors from a Vauxhall C20LET engine. Available from Vauxhall parts dept. Not cheap though for brand spankers.

But I'd imagine there would be a better feel and delivery of power, I definitely see the point when upgrading a cars turbo's etc but definitely think to myself that there "should" be a much better feel even on a standard car as all our S3's are starting to get on a bit now days...

Could be quite alot of difference depending on how much they are out. I remember testing a set of new bosch injectors and just doing a 5 second idle test they ranged from 35cc to 45cc, which is 420cc p/min and 540cc p/min. So one cylinder will be getting 120cc less fuel a min than another just on idle.
I use pretty much the same thing as the company that Welly posted. It's an ultrasonic injector cleaner n tester, think they're like £5000 worth of equipment.
Also forgot to mention the spray pattern, you could have one that is ******* out like a hose (just as an example, unlikely) and another with a nice even spray which will burn alot better.
A garden hose style injector won't allow the fuel to atomise properly which results in a poor burn.

May be worth slapping some injector cleaner through it first to see, although I am sceptical of what that really does to be honest....
