Wastegate/Screamerpipe?

hey guys i have a 1.8t 51 plate a3 and i was just wondering what wastegate or screamer pipe would fit my car? size?

If your running the standard turbo, its internally gated.. Thus cannot run an external wastegate or screamer pipe.

A K03s LOL.....

You can go K03 hybrid (K03 with K04 internals) but still would be advising a rod change as they are spiky as hell.... Pistons and crank are already forged on the 1.8t's...

You will of course need to change the injectors, MAF housing, TIP, air filter and most likely use and LCR (if FWD) or S3 (if quattro) fuel pump... a bit of custom mapping later and you will have S3 power (260bhp, 280ftlbs)... more can be had with 3" DP, FMIC ect too

Isn't the K03/K04 compressor shaft to weedy to handle stalling anyway?

Leon Cupra R use the same injectors too... 370cc IIRC...

Don't fit them before doing any upgrade else you will just flood the engine... The map needs to be told what size injectors it has and will think it needs to use the same duty cycle as for the smaller ones... you will get more fuel delivered for the same injector on cycle but have no extra air to support it making the mixture too rich...

The K03 hybrid is a very popular upgrade path for Ibiza and Leon Cupra owners on SCN (SEAT Cupra Net)...

Because they dump exhaust fumes out the bottom of the engine, rather than sending them through the cat/exhaust. They are very loud and pretty damn bad for emmissions!

for a stage 2 remap do i have to put the exhaust and intake stuff on then remap it again or does it just make it a stage 2 by putting that stuff on?

they more than likely wont stage 2 it till you put those on....stage 2 is only a movement from stage 1 where the map is tweeked to take advantage of the mods......for example you could change ll the parts you want but if the exhausts ristricts anymore power...then ya ********......

I dont think screemer pipe is illegal, and would'nt effect an mot emissions test, as its not venting on the idle and fast idle tests.
I would imagine the cops would pull you when its on an open road and actively screaming tho.. as its loud.. and pretty unsociable

i agree with bill. the main issue youd have is noise, but from what ive heard theyre no worse than your typical straight through no silencers exhaust
