Window Tints???????????

Window tints? too chavy? or super cool?

For a 2006 sportback in black.....

On the back three? All windows? (execpt front screen)

Limo black? Dark smoke? light smoke? mix?

Tinting looks good mate if you get it right, my favourite is the back 3 windows in a light/medium tint...that what I have on mine (3 door). Sportback will obviously be back 5 or whatever it is! :icon_thumright:


Definately dont do all round or limo black, cheapens the car IMO.

Love tints. Mine had them on when I bought it, rear and back two are darker than the fronts, I like it! They arn't limo though, thats too dark!

got tints on mine.
They were on it when I bought it and I was going to take them off but have found them brilliant for security purposes if having to leave stuff in the car (i.e. mountain bike) as you cant even see its in there.

Light Smoke all around is great imo.

Not too keen on the presidential look, especially on light coloured cars.

I've got a black 3 door and ive got limo on back and back sides, with 50% on front, the look ok

I just went for a dark smoke on the rear 3 windows - looks very OE.

There are legal and safety (i.e. killing us motorcyclists) implications of tinting front windows much more than they come from the factory, so I'd recommend leaving them as is...

Tints will look good just don't do the sunstrip as that look chavy to me.

Consider the recommendations and weight up what makes more sense and then decide which one you want to do :icon_thumright:

Tints are a defo must , not to dark or the Police will give you grief.

I've just had the windows tinted on my Black Sportback, 35% from B-pillar back. I'm very happy with the result as I was trying to get a similar look to the factory spec. I've posted some pictures on another thread but I'll post them here if you want to see how it looks?

Think it's 35%, but I could be wrong....

I could have had 25% which was very 'light', or 50% which was a piece 'darker'

i have a6 in med grey ,with limo rear screen (nice and private } and 15% in rear window and quarters ,helps blend into clear front .i had mine done at national windscreeNs chesterfield ,paul is fantastic ,prop best tinter in the biz ,cheers jAYSON

I had my rear 3 windows tinted a couple of weeks back. It was a fairly dark tint, basically as close to the factory privacy glass as I could get and I'm really pleased with the outcome. I was worried it might look chavvy but I think it really suits the car.
