I may be interested in the brakes. Are you keeping rear brake setup? Cheers.

Yes keeping the rears just upgrading the fronts, they are immaculate as so new.

I'm just 2 miles from B'ham and family live in Solihull.

Can get front+rears s3 brakes from breakers 350 all day long. Didnt realise it was fronts only

Is that why you only offered £300 ?!? Can't blame you for trying I guess :).

Go or it then, don't forget to budget for Pads etc. £350 for a pair of rusty old mingers or £400 for as good as new, your money your choice, good luck finding some

Spin how do mate, will your evoms kit fit mine with mine only have k03? thats a good price for brakes i know as i have looked in past for some and seen as you say calipers which can be painted etc but need pads & discs replacing, just wish i had some money at min :(

Not sure it will fit the KO3 but Steve will know.

I'm in no rush on the brakes so as it's you if you want them let me know and I'll put them to one side for you, not coming off to 08/03 anyway.

Mart

What brakes you going for then mate something big and even better looking ? or not bothering with them to save weight

Actually I may be having the TT-RS set up, I've been talking to your pals at the TT shop N8. There is no doubt the AP will offer a better braking ability but I'm attracted to the OEM look of the Brembo 4 pots on the TTRS and the fact that I may not need spacers.

Price wise I'll actually get the AP set up cheaper due to a special deal but all things considered they will end up around the same after selling spacers etc.

The other benefit of going TT-RS is I can keep my standard alloys and save for some coil -overs, I ****** love this car :)

I have a tough decision to make.

I can get the TT-RS kit at an EXCELLENT price, so consult me before you buy Spin. But the brake guy who does all my stuff 'Dave Brown' isn't overally convinced with the TT-RS kit, so you'd probably be better speaking to him first.

Your gettin coils, nice to see your going the whole hog, I love my car too man, new rims and re-trim for me in May

Thats probably the last big mod - re-trim, power is done, once skirts are on, the styling is done. Just a few OEM touches from Nige and I pretty much am done, getting a re-trim as the RS4 buckets are too worn for me really and there is a colour difference (well) thats the excuse for me anyway

The helios are staying man, just gonna rock some purple rims when the trim goes in (purple too) "summer rims"

And what Paul, I have a problem :3sadwalk:

Hey Spin,

Are AP's already having the 6 potters for the S3? If so, could you please let me know what kind of region I should be looking at?
If its not convenient, would appreciate if you could PM me.

If I'm not mistaken, you would probably need spacers for the TTRS rather than the AP 6pots.

Thanks in advance.

Mine will be the first kit to be produced by AP as still under development, spacers will be required on the AP set up as they are using a caliper from the parts bin and there is a desired additional 3/5 mm required to allow for heat expansion etc, the retail will be in the region of £1973.48 + vat.

Once the final fitting has been checked (within the next week) I'll post all the details of the specific kit.

Speaking to varous Audi Specialists the general opinion is that Spacers will NOT be required for the TT-RS kit as the calipers have been manufactured with a convex shape to allow additional clearance.

AP has the performance advantage, TT-RS looks better aesthetically (IMO).

I'll post an update on a separate thread when I have one.

Cheers, Spin

Thanks again Martin and it was nice to meet you. Looking forward to installing the air intake. All I need to do is find a miltek tbe!
