Hi to all,

I have owned my audi for over a year now and never been troubled with it:salute: until i done some work on it myself.

I fitted apex 35mm lowering springs on it. The back looks the dogs danglies but the front has increased in ride height by approx 35mm:wtf:

My mate rekons they need to settle but Im not convinced.

Any suggestions?????

Sorry to maybe sound like a tit, but you have moved the car since letting it off the jacks?

i'm thinking theres quite a big difference between the weight of say an S4 engine and a 2.6...

If you swapped out some old (and therefore saggy) 2.6 Sport springs, with some S4 ones with a stiffer rate, you could end up rasing the car...

When we lowered craigs S4 on the Eibachs, the rear barely droped at all, but the front came down miles. The car always sat nose up before we did it though, so we presumed the rear springs had just sagged over time.

Yea mate, done that.
I even gave it to the missus to bounce over some speedbumps :faint:

Would that mean the springs will settle? How long? cause it looks gash

Springs dont "settle" other than when you first roll the car out the garage after being on the stands.

A spring has a constant rate, for it to randomly change rate means its broken.

It sounds like you have the wrong springs to me. Get onto the supplier.

Cheers boss. Am heading down tomoz. I'll let u ken how a get on.

Thanx
