Wheel Spacers, Yes or No?

If you're precious about your paint work then be warned, if you go out wide on the front the tyres protude(sp) past the bottom of the arch meaning the side of your car is ripe for stone chipping. I've already started to notice it a little, hence the reason why i'm going for flaps all round...

Hope these pictures help mate Im no David Bailey!

Definately gives it a better stance it's quite hard to show realy, shame I can't lower it as it scrapes coming off my driveway as it is! I think you wouldn't wanna go any wider than 20mm each side if your going to lower yours as I'd say you would touch the inside of the wheel arch,

Cheers Matt

Are there any 8mm-10mm hub centric spacers out there?

or do they not bother as 8mm there is still enough hub to sit in the wheel nicely?

Cheers

Plenty of 10mm ones to choose from, i'm sure some places do 8mm also.

I have anodised black 10mm fronts and 15mm rears (each side). I bought them through some engineering place, forgot the name but will find out if anyone wants the info. All in = £109 posted including longer bolts (correct length and fitment for oem wheels, no cutting).

They make a big difference to the car's stance although it is quite hard to see in photos. The difference is very noticeable to a trained eye but I reckon 9/10 non-car-people wouldn't notice!
I'm currently on standard suspension (won't be for too much longer) and i've noticed that over really badly surfaced roads the car is a bit more jittery and maybe tramlines a bit more than before? I'm worried the OEM suspension is taking a battering, and at 70k miles it needs replacing anyway.
Hopefully a set of KW springs & shocks will cure all ills. Will have to report back in the new year!

Please post up the details of said "engineering place" as £109 all in is a ****** steal, especially for annodised ones :icon_thumright:

I found them on eBay and just phoned them. On ebay they have sets of 4 of the same size but I wanted 2x 10mm and 2x 15mm and the correct bolts so just gave them a call.
