Stiffening suspension (A3 SE SPORT BACK)
Hi all,
i have an A3 Sportback SE and am considering lowering and stiffening the suspension as its a bit loose at the moment. I have asked for advice at the local main dealer but they where not very helpful. The question i asked them was if i purchased the Sport springs and shockers would they fit on mine?
They dint give me much of answer apart from "get some aftermarket one" but i rather keep it all genuine.
Can anybody help me please??

Your best bet if you're keeping it OE would be S-Line springs which will drop 20mm or so. These often turn up second hand due to people upgrading.

But even better would be Eibach springs that are OE quality, will lower a bit more, and ride better than the S-Line.

Thanks very much for the info guys. Now what i also would like to know is if it would just be a direct swap between the springs (from SE to S-line/eEibach) or does anything else need changing like the shockers ect.??

Nothing else will need changing.

If you do fancy changing the shocks later, there's nothing to stop you doing this. But if you're going to be spending some more cash, you might be better off with some coilovers, so you can get the height and ride adjusted to just what you want.

Didn't bite Khufu, I've had experience in A3s of springs/springs and shocks, and coilovers...

I bet you have N8 :sex: but i don`t want to hear about your sex life thankyou so can we keep this thread clean .....:shutup2:
