i was reversing out of my work car park and about 2 mins later i heard a scraping noise , i looked under the car and found this , but i am not sure if it is even from my car or from the road.


Any body know what it is ?

Well 2 things I think it could be, 1st looks like one of the under seat metal bits that holds the cushioning in, albeit a mangled one at that

Or is it actually your caliper retaining clip on say the rears, as fronts is larger I think, I know the sport/sline use this style for the pads/calipers to stay in tight.

I'm thinking its the caliper sprung loaded clip.

According to Audi road assist it it not from my car , but junk from the road.

Which would make sense as it only made a noise after i have traveled for a couple of mins.
