pop goes the turbo, Gutted

Nah the exhaust housing will once undone, come off. Make sure you mark the orientation of it, or pipes and brackets may not fit,lol

Might be worth an overnight saok in some releasing oil to allow ease of dissasemmbly

thanks again Mark,
i will be having a go weekend, so all i can say is watch for "HELP :wtf:"over the next few days lol

i had to change the exhaust housing on mine and it worked fine. just mark it so the new housing goes on the same.

I have managed to get the old turbo off with no major issues, good news is there is no damage or play in my old original turbo{apart from wastegate}
the old actuator was completely knacked and had to be replaced with the new one off the other unit i got off ebay,
Had a bit of fun trying to split the old turbo to get the other back on it, none of the nuts would come out and resulted in me having to hack saw all 6 nuts off but did this with no issues or damage to the parts i needed to keep so that was pain but result in the end :arco:.
All the old hoses have now been taken off ready for the Samco's to go on, i did find oil in the throttly boby side and hoses? I think my rocker gasket needs replacing as well and I need to double check the oil level when i top it back up to make sure im not putting too much in there.
Im going to fush the intercooler out before the new hoses go back and wanted to know if this can be done with it still in place or do i need to get it off?
I will get some pics on here when im all done and hopfully put final update on here later today all being well.

big thanks to all for your help so far im very greatfull:applaus:

regards
Karl

You might want to watch that new actuator, as it might not be rated at the same pressure as the original audi one.

Have a look see if its got a pressure stamped onto it?

it doesnt say anything about presure on it as i can see, it has German wrighting on it but no audi stamp ?

im going to have to go with anyway to honest Kev i need the car back on the road, what problems am i looking at if its the wrong type?

it'll probably be fine, if anything you might get boost cut if the pressure is too high. Give it a go!
just found a lot of oil in intercooler and the metal pipe that runs across front bottom of car?{intercooler conecting metal tube}

i dont know if this is caused by the turbo going or am i now looking at further issues with the car?

could anyone also tell me how do i go about cleaning these out without taken them off if poss because ive already got enougn to get on with today.

thanks again inadvance

will be waiting for help before i do anymore now.

Its pretty normal mate, i'd just leave it and get it back together.
i got the oil in cooler and pipes sorted mate,Mark {Byzan} give me a little tip on the front metal pipe, gunk through it and then feed some wire through it, tie a thick cloth on one end and pull it through.
To say i was impressed is a bit of a under statement lol did as advised and not a slip of oil left anywere in the pipe.
intercooler had a can of carb/throttle body cleaner through, left it all day and that sorted that issue.
ive not quite finished it yet but onll bits to do, got put on hold when mrs called to tell me the clutch had gone on her little Pug.

cant thank you guys enough,i will get a load of pics tomoz before i through air box on and fire it up.

:applaus::respekt::applaus:
