Cup Holders!

Hi I know this should probably be in classified section but not everyone looks there. I'm after the cup holders that sit in the centre console on a 98 a4 avant as mine are knackerded from previous owner, god knows how, and willing to pay plus postage, cheers. If you are talking about the double spring up cup holders by the handbrake, get them from stealers, I got mine from them and paid 22 quid, not bad considering the ******** ones annoyed the hell outta me by staying up all the time and cosmetically looks a damn site better when you can have em flat.

£22 seems like a lot of money but good idea might pop down tomorrow morning now that i know how to take them out, because like you they have bugged the hell out of me since i got the car.

take it youve tried fixing them, a good wash and spray with lube has always worked for me

Yeah had it all apart on kitchen table and seen that the small cogs on the side had most of the teeth missing. God knows how people can let thier car get in such a state, then again I only paid £650 for my 1.8se avant so can't complain.

mine are broke as well got some of ebay may have been from oldskool bought a few things from him. thing is i cant seem to work out how to remove broke one to replace .. ? any info

Simon, the centre console section needs to be released/removed to fit the new cup holders as they are screwd and clipped in from the underside

mark just had a look but could not see fixings does this mean front seats out ?

there are 2 caps beside the seats, the seats need to go all the way back to see them. Then remove the ashtray and there is a 13mm nut in there. You then need to remove the handbrake trim, if you look at where your hand goes to operate it, just below that is a plastic pin, that needs to come out to release the trim. I think thats it

Well guys been to the scrappies today and got another set of cup holders for the bargain price of £2 plus vat so £2.30 in total and couldn't believe what a bargain. Think there was another set in there so should have got them too but if anyone is that desperate could go back down but won't manage it til wednesday.
