I've got a set of The new rs4 replicas coming for it and
i've drilled the airbox so it now goes vroom cha cha cha when you rev it :eyebrows:
I'm planning on drastically lowering it pretty soon :o.k:

I bet she was nce and cheap too. Its not a quatty tho is it?
I didnt think they made 1.8t quatties in 96/97

It's always nice to get your hands dirty and fix things yourself, more fulfulling:thumbsup:

yep all in it's cost about 750 to buy the car fix it and put it on the road :icon_thumright:
It's no quattro those badges are off the car now cause they were annoying me :lmfao:i took those pics last week
It's the first time i've ever pulled an engine out of a car and replaced it................. and it still hasn't went bang yet which is always a good sign :o.k:

Looks like you did well for £750!

How difficult was it replacing the engine? I did my timing belt, etc and that wasn't TOO bad... but just thinking about building up a spare ready to go in.

Low is the way to go...

It wasn't to difficult............... the only problems i had were i broke 2 water flanges at the back of the head 1 of the old engine taking it out and 1 off the replacement putting it in :ermm: and i blew the battery as the power cable going to the starter is black and i assumed it was an earth lead :lmfao:
If your going to do it my advice would be take alot of pictures to remind yourself where things go :sm4:

When i lower it if it don't rub going over speed bumps it'll not be low enough

you should find all the info you need on here anyway. not seen many red a4's up this way so makes a change. does wullie have the manifold now?

Cheers for the welcome everybody
