Anyone got any of these?? Just brought a set off a guy breaking an S3 off here - however he ripped me off and left me with only 1 damaged wheel out of 4! (his ad is still up)

Wanted the 18" S4's but am credit crunched out, so looking for a set of S3 17" Avus with tyres at a reasonable price!

Thanks all

I'm wondering if this is the same seller that tried to sell soiled S3 seats to someone else off here.

Admin's/Moderators can we find out? Seems to be happening to a lot of people recently!

G

Well that is not on, person should be banned from forum. He already cost the other chap a good wedge to get to view the seats, fuel, van rental etc.

Now you as well......you'll have to get them refurbished then i take it??

Damaged as in non-repairable? What did the seller advertise them as??

G

damaged as in - out of 4 wheels paid for I recieved only 1! Also i didnt recieve either of the S3 tail lights.

The one i did receive had a completely bald tyre instead of "new". It needs a new center cap, has alot of scuffing and the crappy packaging tape used has marked the surface to the point i cant get it off. It wasnt packaged at all! Note: these were described as "excllent condition"

I assume they did send the wheels, i paid for and arranged collection that they failed to meet 2 times. They just could not be bothered to package them at all so fell apart in transit, they used a bit of masking tape - i even sent them the packaging labels.

i see they now have an a3 engine up for sale. All i can say is i would steer well clear as i would not want an engine. he also offered me brakes, body panels (rofl - like these would have made it!!!!) and the seats.

Anyway im trying to claim but i feel a little sorry for UPS. They probably shouldnt have accepted them at all. Or possibly they didnt send the other 3 wheels at all.

Still on track if anyone has any S3 wheels let me know!

I agree....

Name and shame. It's obvious the seller is taking the michael. It's totally unacceptable and unfair to expect someone to pay for goods that clearly aren't what they stipulate.

We need to know sellers name so that this can be avioded in the future, but it's up to you. The last person from what i remember had threats against him as they fell out over the seats.

I have a set of "mint" and i meant "mint" wheels which could be for sale in a few months. Dependant on me getting S4 reps. I'll let you know as and when by PM.

Ok, the only reason I didnt name, is because im currently in the process of trying to get compensation from UPS - and am relying upon the seller to send me the forms.

But in the interest of helping others, username is: LEYADREW

His and his mrs are from Norfolk, he currently has an audi S3 at the top of the breaking list, and an A3 Turbo Engine.

This is the thread about the seats...

MrG. Let me know on the wheels when you've decided - I'll be a lil jealous as im really after the S4 Avus - they look great.

He on this forum?!
I agree name and shame. We shouldnt have any thing like this going on between members on asn. Have you contacted the seller? Has he said what he can do or any thing?

the seller is extreamly hard to deal with, I had to babysit them through sending me the wheels at all. They took an age to even package them ready to send, even after a courier had been several times. They told me they'd been sent when they hadnt over a 4 week period etc.

They will not pay me compensation. I am waiting to get the UPS claim documents through - they go to the sender not me, before I take a more aggressive stance on this. I know from experience that telling people that their twats does not help, and i dont really want to get into threatening people over wheels!

thanks for reading the thread, I do obviosuly think this user should be banned. Hes only using it to sell bits, is untrustworthy and obviosuly finds it impossible to e-trade sold parts.

unbelievable. i cant believe how some people have the cheek to rip off innocent people like yourself

Unfortunately, there are load of people out there who practice in this trade, and there wil be a few of us who get caught in these Scams/Dishonest bit of business.
We can only make it more difficult for them by naming and shaming, and hope they go out of business.

it is very annoying, especailly as i seem to have been caught out a few times in the last couple of months. I will have to be more vigilent on future buys!

Also: If anyones got a Milltek 8L downpipe / sports cat let me know, no scammers!

this guy sounds to me like a thieving scum bag who's more then likely been out and nicked someone else's s3 ripped it apart to make money on and less likely to get caught by the police while he's more interested in spending he's days smoking weed the to send out payed item's what a c__t he sounds, think the engine would be a good buy for the police to see if they can cross reference the engine number to any stolen audi s3's, this guy needs more then banning from here if im right he needs some time away!!

:iagree:

I have got that fed up with scammers that i will only buy off people i know and trust or off people within a driving range of 50 ish miles and view the items first. Its ***** to hear about you and these wheels, if i where you i would get some mates together and get your self round there and claim your cash back.

Yes mate i wouldnt stand for that this guy needs to be seen to by the police ....

True just go there and ask for your money if he doesnt give it to u then just take something of his ! get all your mates over there !

I always try and get some sort of dialog going with a seller before commiting to buy anything online, asking for extra photo's is a good way to start... a genuine seller will always be happy to send extra pics and you can start to guage if they are leggit or not... dosn't help you now of course but i agree on the name and shame... we don't want anyone else falling foul of these scum....

Sorry to hear that Andrew its not good, and should not get away with it,

i agree with the above tbh, i know its not right but would be a good way to get your money back, have you his address?

I did make quite a few calls to this guy (i do have his address as does the guy with the seats). As the other person who he scammed would agree, he would only say everything was "great condition". People often turn nasty afterwards, but never before.

I may well take a trip down their, im not a small guy myself and am not intimidated easily - however I want the UPS claim to go through first. Also i try and avoid being agressive just for letting off steam! Can end up in more trouble than the person who scammed you...

All i can say is i should have brought Yaz's wheels when they were for sale!

**I could suggest AudiSport should impose a minimum post count to buy and sell. The Avforums is a fantastic example of how well forum classifieds can work - although they do have a hugh amount of mods**

Andrew,
I remember reading about the guy that bought the seats, he was saying apparently the guy's a bit of a name round his parts. Now usually someone that says they are, isn't but just thought i'd warn you as you dont want to be getting yourself into too much bother. It's not just your size as you've mentioned. People like him that possibly deal in criminal activities will do whatever it takes to safeguard themselves and they are usually prepared for come backs etc. Trust me, as i work in a specialist security field and deal/mix with these sorts of people all the time!
But if you decide to pay him a visit i would recommend going with some handy pals!:keule:

I wish i could just sell my wheels to you, but as i'm selling my car sods law the potential buyer will want the standard wheels!
I tell you what, if i sell my car and the buyer doesn't want the standard wheels i'll contact you ASAP and i'll let you have them cheap as you'd be doing me a favour anyway and also i feel for you being ripped off!

Good luck with whatever happens mate

your probably right Yaz! Best let it go. PM'd Scott

Im sorry I Really disagree

No don't let it go, I'm sorry if you let it go then scum bags like him will just Con more and more good decent people until he is taught a lesson.

I totally feel for you Mate I have been in that situation before and there is nothing worse than feeling Powerless and letting him get away with it.

We can see this wasn't just a one off, he has done it before with Seats with a poor guy travelling nearly 150 miles and renting a Van, and he has tried it again with you and got away with it (if you let it go), Im sorry to ramble it makes my blood boil to hear about people like him:banghead:.

I agree with you mate, it makes me furious too and the thoughts that go through my mind would probably have me locked up for a while!

So what do you suggest Andrew does?

Andrew, do you have a Grandma you could take with you? Lol, they are normally good with swinging handbags and the like.

Seriously though, if it were me i'd try to claim back from UPS. We all know that he has the 3 other wheels in his garage & never even sent them in the first place. What use is 1 wheel to someone, further more the other three! Either way you need 4 for a set, obviously.

It makes me disappointed to see someone again falling short of a deal made with money exchanged for goods which never arrived. Getting angry is the last thing one should do as it clouds judgement and makes one do rash, pointless things. Like for instance dropping your Grandma off with a few handbags round to his house.

There are more ways to skin a cat! Anyone know a good hacker (i'm more than capable but not willing. lol).

Its a difficult one, if you can settle with UPS then do that (sorry to state the obvious).

The hacker Idea is well worth it if the UPS fails, im sure there would be someone on the forum who would be capable. If push came to shove I could always ask the coding experts at my work, although I think I would get some funny looks if I asked them to try and hack into some farmers computer lol.

I had the same problem with a laptop I bought, I stupidly sent £400 cash when I was a student to this guy in london hoping that he was just a normal person with morals like the rest of us. But no laptop came and he refused to answer phone calls and emails. So I ended up taking down aload of Mates knocked on his door and got a refund, he made up some story about it being sent back to his house again and again! but still didnt have it to show me.

Hope you sort it mate.:rockwoot:
