So, I've search through the forums and not really found any nuggets of help....
There's a bracket that seems to be holding itself on to another bracket that prevents me from re-instaling the motor & blower with the cover / mounting on (and it's the hardest f*cking krypton factor challenge ever to get the motor located on to the backing/mounting in-situ....)Now, I've removed the 1st bracket, the fixing that it's mounted on to won't come out. The bolts at the top are just turning so I'm guesing that there are bolts on top that aren't fixed.

It's looking more and more like extra bit's are going to have to come out. Am I being really stupid? :banghead:

I'll post pictures in a wee bit. Just heading out.

This a pic from Kris Hansons post in Audiworld, it shows the bracket concerned, just to the left of the red circle. The bottom bart, shown with the two bolts holding it on has come off ok, but the angled arm is the real offender. It's stopping free movemnet of the motor and housing. Anybnody else had this problem.... I'll get my own pics up later.

Dang! Your car's LHD. A very different procedure compared to RHD models, whereby replacing the heater blower's a 25 minute job on non-passenger airbag cars.

You've had to tear down the whole dash?? :ninja:

Yes that looks nothing like the RHD version, even the blower looks different

No, no, no.... It's a pic from Kris Hansens post on Audiworld.com (USA), his car is left hand drive, mine is RHD but the set up is exact the same. Passenger airbag though on mine.

Just looking for my USB cable to get some pics on here. (car's still in bits as I had to teach, thank god again for the missus wheels!)....

So the passenger airbag's the issue then.
