Regal Rolling Road day

Hi Guys!

Just thought I'd bump this topic to say we're getting the final preparations in place for the weekend.

We are organising some refreshments and a BBQ for you, and looking at getting some hired in extra shelter in the carpark should the British weather decide to do us no favours!

What I will ask is any orders for exhausts to come in directly to Regal asap. today or tomorrow please! I haven't had any firm orders.

Both Resonated and Non-Resonated systems with the 80mm "special" tails are in stock for the S3 as is the downpipe with sports cat.

There are Turbo-back systems in stock for the 2.0 diesels too, all up at Milltek, so i need to know numbers to get them down to the southcoast for the weekend.

I have Dbilas intakes in stock and we will be flashing cars with GIAC software on the day, so that is less time sensative, but letting us know rough numbers in advance would be great.

I want to say a huge thanks to Jamie at this point, keeping us on our toes :laugh: but keeping us informed of how things are flowing along on the forum!

To allow you to revert back to standard mate - for when it's in for a service, that's why I bought it.
I'm also going to add the 'kill' map, sadly it doesn't give you 450bhp, but is an immobiliser - car getting left at a few airports int he not to disctant, so thought it a worthy add on! It's only another £20
 
cause its on my sis's birthday... have already tried a work around with Jamie... but I cant get the time in... :mad: *although an *if* has recently been thrown in*
 
For me, the Audi immobiliser is enough really; I think if they're going to get around that it will be with a low loader in which case the kill switch won't do much!

Anyway, what's the deal - if I take it in for a service and I don't unload the hammer map will they overwrite it? If they do, will REgal not put it back on free of charge?

Im not a definate mate, its 50/50. Im really sorry.. car is STILL not back from Audi, this morning an email states they are trying to find me a new seat lol (im not joking either). So i may not be able to make it mate :(
 
OK I will be coming as a spectator what time is it kicking off ?

Not sure what state the A3 will be in though as I'm away on business this week in South Wales and won't have time to clean it :(

I could also probably bring my Laptop along with my VAG-COM cable.

Dude - you're kidding me?
This past coupkle of weeks Audi have had mine, S3 Big Andy's, blocks, yours.... not good really!
How about coming in Lee's car instead if yours is out of commission still?
But i guess you're wanting to know what your's is putting out yeah???

Fair point!

You'd have to ask Regal, they may charge a bit of an admin fee, as it does take a bit of time, but is likely to be a daft twenty quid for there time.

I think the reason I want it is that the drive from the mapped car is significantly more urgent, so any technician would prob's notice. PLUS I wouldn't want a techey enjoying driving my car too much! :(

As I doubt if I will have internet access on the day, best bet if you pre-investigate what you want done on the day and print any notes out - that is unless is is straight forward what you want done.

Looking forward to Saturday, and being (relatively) local I will be there early (read I dont have to make a big effort so will probably be a few minutes late:shutup2: )

Christ I hope I remember to bring the keys... Ok if I am in my car they will be in my laptop bag, if I'm in claires car they might be in the boot of my car in my laptop bag unless I remember... No pressure then!

I bought the loader with my GIAC and to be honest I have only ever used it once just to revert back to stock for curiosity. I never even bothered taking the map off when the car went in for a service.

Bought my map from Statler who said if dealer ever flashed over he would reinstall FOC ...... would imagine Regal would do similar.

I@m not going to bother with the loader then; £343 for the hammer remap including Vat is an amazing deal IMO> £460+ less so....

I'll just leave it on until the end of my lease and then get REgal to remove it..
 
This may be a tad lame but i may well have to show up in the worlds dirtiest S3 8L due to the fact that last friday i sneezed n threw my neck and lower back out!!

I was planning on giving the car a good wash, polish n hoover so that it does not look to old n shabby next to all these shiney 8P's but i don't think its gonna be possible in my current condition.

I am off to see the Back Dr tomorrow but i dont think its gonna be an instant fix (have had a dodgy back for years now) so please forgive me if my car looks a tad unloved on saturday.

Still looking forward to it though :)
 
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, i thought that too, but at the time i said "I dont want the car back until its ready" LoL

Don't worry it is looking highly unlikely that I will get a chance to wash mine after a trip to Wales and back in the rain.

I may get a chance to give it a quick wash with the foam gun but that will be all and then dry it in the Mway on the way into Southampton.

Hope the trip to the Doc goes well.

Cheers Mate i hope so too i really feel old before my time when my back plays up.

Glad i won't be the only non shiney car there, still the inside aint too bad except for the dust and Dog hair.
 
I am sorry to do this at relatively short notice, however unfortunately I am going to have to drop out... :sorry:
 
There is still room to put some other cars on the rollers if people are interested?
It would be a good chance to put a few faces to names, so if you have some time in your diary get yourself along!
