audi a4 avant tdi 2003 thought about putting rs6 or rs4 but what size best 18 or 19 any views on looks handling .....................:icon_thumright:

Depends if your using it every day buddy. Think i'd probably go for RS6 18's if it was my daily drive. RS6's on A4's are abit different and look very smart.
Enjoy my friend

19s without doubt. 18s look too small. i use my car everyday with 19' rs6s on and its fine mate

Ive got 19" RS6's, i use it every day no probs, as Chris and juss said 18's look too small for an A4.:icon_thumright:

18" look too small!! That rather depends on who's looking at the car! I think 19" look too big.. but there again, it's my opinion.

its all down to taste aint it, If you want 18's then go for it, 19's look alot better IMO, 18's to me look more like 17's, just dont look great under the A4's Big arches.

The ride between 18's to 19's aint no difference to me so again, its down to what look you want!!

There's a dark blue avant kicking around my area with RS6 18's and he's got it lowered about 40 or 50mm and looks pretty good.if you reduce the gap between the arches and the tyres it gives the impression of a bigger wheel.Plus your tyres will be cheaper to replace. In my opinion the B6 A4 looks to have slightly smaller arches than the B7 hence 18's being ok.I'm probably wrong like.

18's look too small?!! LOL!!

18 inch wheels look too small?

You guys kill me sometimes!! :yahoo:

The UK is obsessed with over sized wheels, did you know the RS6 came with 18's in Europe? They were also an option on the B7 RS4...

I think the OE 18's on my car look perfect with the slight drop the KW V1's have given me.....

He asked , we answered - but not all answered the same.
Dont take it as a dig guys if you have 18's but we prefer oversized 19's!!
:respekt:
I like more alloy less tyre...

Yes thats your opinion, and my post was my opinion. im used to looking at 19's and i do think 18's look small, but there we go. As for RS6's from where ever have wotever, and this is an option on that, what is your point, are we saying we have to stick to what Audi say?? If so why did you fit coilovers??:racer:

18'' look just right - 19''.... well - it just doesn't do it for me. The car starts to look cheap, and I don't think thats what Audi is all about.

However, as you guys say - I'm sure if I spent all my time looking at 19'' I would think 18'' look too small!

Looks cheap:think:!!??!!! We're all for own opinions matey but can you tell us more when you say cheap,im intrigued!!

Juss thats why they put 19's on the RS4 cos they wanted it to look real cheap!!!:wtf: Well im happy with my 19's.:)

18's all the way. Your not compromising on comfort, the tyres are affordable - do you want me to carry on....

well i got 19s and i know mine dont look cheap thank you very much lol.here a pic of 19s on mine, maybe you can compare them to bubstars 18s and make your own judgement

Also wheel design plays a big part in how the size is perceived.Spokes going to the outside lip of the wheel will help.Bubs audi looks perfect to me thats why i'm going to carbon copy it only in black. At the end of the day your only talking 12mm(12.7 to be precise) or so per side between 18's and 19's,so from a distance you wont tell the difference.Chris20' car is looking good to but i'm on a budget so 18's ll have to do.

My 18" Kahn RSV are sitting in my garage now ready to be taken out of the boxes and installed on my AUDI A4 cab and i am really wexcited. I believe 18 are overall better as for tires, every day driving, smoothens etc. But 19 really its something different....Personal opinion 18"

19's on my Quattro Sport. Look good but harsh ride. :crying: Would change to 18's if i hadn't just spent £500 on Tyres :sadlike:

Alright girls don't get your knickers in a twist!!

It was just the comment that 18's looked 'too small' that made me laugh!!

They're hardly too small are they? Just not as too large as 19's maybe?

I guess I'm lucky in that my car came with 18's from the factory so I've no desire to buy replica wheels.

Doctor, I fitted coilovers because I wanted to get the ride height spot on and not mess around with springs. It's funny how many people will tell you the ride is no worse with 'sports' springs but then sell them 3 months later........ Let me tell you the car rides better now on the KW's than it did with the Quattro Gmbh (S-Line) factory suspension.

Carry on.

BUB

In response to tyre price. Don't be put off by 19s tyre prices. Its a shame that 'fastfit' tyre places RIP YOU OFF big time and this seems to be an off putting problem with bigger tyres.

I paid £170 for Conti Sport Contact2s FITTED and when they wear down I will be going back to Falken GRBs at £100 fitted each (Perfectly good enough on a 1.8T cabriolet).

I used to sell wheel and tyre packages and all I can say is that on some of these replica cheap packages the tyres were like PLASTIC !!!

Andy

PS - 19" Sportec Monos on mine !!

whats the difference between sport gmbh and s-line suspension bub

Hey guys can some of you remember when 15's were a big deal.

I had 15's on one of my Delta's and they were huge at the time!!!

PS Bubstar I love your car :salute: looks brilliant !!

Never mind all this 18" 19" talk, mine are far superior 16"... :) A 2001 sport came with these as standard and they looked ok then. They do look small by todays standards. Like J7USS said, 15" used to be big :)

My car doesn't have any body kit and think 18" wouldn't look right. The roads I use are awful and am thinking of only going to 17" star Audi. Would the ride change much?

Cheers

my nob is bigger than ur wheels haha. nah only kidding u shouldnt notice too much difference going from 16-17 mate

Hey, you laughin at my 16" :)

:)lol, I just liked the way you came in and "never mind all this 18" 19" talk..."
I had 16's as standard on mine, gave them my Dad for his B5.He loves them. Gotta say though, from the 16's to 19's is very different, More road noise obviously due to the lower profiles.

I can imagine from 16's to 19's there was a hugh difference! I'm after a trade off so I think the 17" will do me. Alloys are the new spoilers. I remember the days in the early 90s when spoilers were a must! My Sierra had one fitted.. it did look cool.. great car that! At the time :)

Need your advise guys!!!!!! I am in the search for tires but i dont want to spend huge amounts of money because i already bought expensive wheels and i am a little bit short.

I want some cheap tires to pass for lets say 5-6 months in order to collect money for better ones. How about FALKEN? ARE they any good? on 235/40/18 size.
