You could say the same for having 300Bhp on tap for most daily drives!Cool, that's useful for , er no part of my daily drive.
yes, for what's it worth 300 is more than I'll ever need.

300 BHP...Erm....NOT MUCH FASTER THAN 250.....367 BHP.....Now you are talking....that's fast.....the torque on the RS3 seemed limitless....torque matters more than BHP in normal day to day driving
With practiced and well timed footwork, the launch control takeoff can be used in normal daily driving. I use it on my 1.8T to get around the turbo lag when crossing intersections and merging into moving traffic from a standstill.Cool, that's useful for , er no part of my daily drive.
On the S3, I'm getting fed up with needing manual mode to get around the sort comings of S tronic.
Done the big diesel thing, certainly has it's moments but when pondering around town, it's a bit clunky and noisy.

I think his point is that he found having a big diesel a bit clunky and noisy - not his S3

We all love the sound and torque of the 2.5l engine, but @jassyo06 could you really live with the handling and understeer?
Watch in particular, the steering wheel angle.........
Given my experience with the manual S3 clutches, DSG is the only way unless you just budget £1200 for an uprated clutch and flywheel
I'm torn on the entire DSG vs Manual! I started to consider going DSG next time, but the other night on the way to work I hit the lights just right and smashed out a couple of slick gear changes followed by a heavy right foot!!! That put a massive smile on my face and I thought "Would I miss the manual?" The money saved on the DSG would cover the pano roof that I'd want on a white saloon as I think it sets it off (doubt I'd ever use it, but it looks cool lol):
Use me pano-roof all the time it's even tilted in light rain so don't kid yourself you'll hit the roof lol button all the timeI'm torn on the entire DSG vs Manual! ....indeed you are quite correct....................must stop speed reading everything!
