I have an A4 3.0TDi saloon. It's an SE, but running on Eibach 30mm lowering springs. It's fitted with 18x8J alloys, 235/40x18 tyres, and the standard offset of ET42.

If I get a new set of wheels (still 18x8J with 235/40x18 tyres), is it likely I will have rubbing issues if I go for ET35 rather than ET42?

No, you'll have plenty of room with those Jeff. I ran an 8.5j wheel with the car slightly lower car than yours and had no issues at all. In reality your new wheels will sit 7mm further away from the suspension and 7mm closer to the arch, I'm sure if you have a quick look at your current wheels and imagine them 7mm further out you'll see there's no probs.

Thanks, AJ. I'm tempted by a set of TTRS Rotor reps in gunmetal. I've found a set on eBay for just over £400 delivered. Then I'll just need to pay to get my tyres swapped onto them. Macdoon used to have a set on his B7 and they did look rather nice.

Any chance anyone who's good with Photoshop putting a set of Rotors onto this pic?

Get 20's Jeff!

Heheheh! Need to get a few more miles out of the new Dunlops I put on it a couple of months back. So this time, it'll be wheels only, which means sticking with 18s.

Hadn't really thought about it yet. They're reps, of course, and as of yesterday, two of them now have very slight kerbing on them. Aside from that, they're fine. Where are you based, Joinerman?
